I've told this story on DL before--I used to work for Buffett and Charlie Munger. Charlie is a sweetheart. He's Buffett's biz partner, but Buffett is the face of Berkshire. Buffett isn't a bad guy, but I suspect on the autism spectrum. I met Gates through Buffett. He's waaaaay on the extreme end of the spectrum.

The extreme end of the autism spectrum would be someone who couldn't function on their own on any level. Extreme, low-functioning autism means they cannot speak, have a very low IQ, and frequently have physical symptoms including seizures.
Gates is NOT on the extreme end of the autism spectrum. Stop making things up.

It’s strange. I’ve always had the feeling their relationship was mostly transactional (as opposed to passionate and romantic). They’re both committed to their children, to their foundation, to making the world a better place, and to giving their wealth away. It’s surely more costly and burdensome for them to separate then to stay together and live separate lives. Wonder what’s behind this.
