They're about the same now, but as for their younger versions, I think Meryl was prettier and Glenn was sexier.

Meryl seems to have more classically defined features while Glenn's features seem more clownish.

Meryl has been beautiful but qualifies as pretty. I think Glenn is better described as a handsome woman, which is not bad and can be better than simply pretty.

but lacking makeup, glenn is more tolerable in a phyllis diller kind of way... she has more character to her disfigured face while meryl looks like she was hit in the face with a shovel several times after eating several spoonfuls of pickling salt

They’re both ugly but if I had to choose I would give Meryl the slight edge.

Both M & G have aged better than Jess though.

Meryl could be beautiful or plain, depending on the role. Glenn could make herself ooze sex if the role required it.

Glenn's style is more age-appropriate whereas Meryl is much too old to be wearing her hair long. It doesn't look good.

I've always found Meryl's nose to be very distracting and unfortunately her daughters ended up with the same nose

Meryl was prettier. Glenn has been more consistently... consistent.

When I was taking acting classes in the late 80's my acting teacher made a point of saying (specifically to one student) that you don't need to be beautiful to be in movies and mentioned these two.

Sometimes I look at Glenn in profile and she reminds me of one of those Punch and Judy puppets. Not an attractive lady.

Meryl was beautiful in Kramer Vs Kramer and Manhattan. Gorgeous bone structure, perfect skin, and that hair! Yes, her nose but she had the cheekbones etc to pull it off (and thankfully her nose is also very skinny, so from certain angles it didn’t even matter). Glenn...I mean whatever, it’s not close. Neither can dress for shit, though, and M always had stocky legs (I’m not really sure what G is built like).

Also, I guess M’s eyes are technically blue but they photograph almost colorless/clear - it’s weird.
