Keep paging down. One of the reasons I won't pay to subscribe... I don't need draconian moderators, but this fuckery is disturbing. That said, there's nowhere else where all sides of an issue are addressed. I'm all for no filters and no censorship. But *repeated* scat trolling isn't information, it isn't entertainment; it's sick.

For R18, someone was posting dozens of highly vivd threads involving excrement. It was revolting. It's disturbing to be confronted directly with mental illness.

As of this moment, they're back.

Yeah, Muriel seems to have shut down posting for non-subscribers while she deleted the scat threads (thank God!) -- I couldn't post earlier, but now I can again, and the troll has been banished for the time being.

It's been happening in the evening/ night EDT, hasn't it? Someone's meds seem to wear off at that time.

Never mind, my mistake -- the scat threads are still there, just further down the board, now that primetime seems to be lifted.

Can't we just ban that troll's IP address(es)?

I blocked the poster who launched the last infestation. Was spared this one. Try using the ignore poster feature to block the OP, v the ignore thread or FF.

I assume Muriel eventually deals with the mess, but I’m not sure.

R12, I'm not sure you would have, the guy spamming and bumping poo threads was using multiple accounts.

I was in the middle of posting a nasty retort to one of the race-baiting spammers yesterday when the thread disappeared and the site went into primetime, so I'm not sure if the primetime was about the poop poster or not. It may have been unrelated.

No idea if he could possibly be Defacto or not. Anything is possible these days, I swear every troll we have turns out to be here 24 hours a day, trolling on 10-15 topics at once.

Datalounge is under siege and Mediapolis appears to be unable to prevent it. These grayed-out posts are an example. And the multiple Dead Or Alive videos and '' spamming. Really? It's like they are just mocking the site's vulnerabilities.

As a non subscriber I have to admit that Primetime has its advantages. And I guess my rigorous use of the ignore feature must have saved me from the scat trolling.
