Health Insurance

Where do you get your coverage? Employer? Medicare? Marketplace? How much do you pay per month for your coverage? Are you generally satisfied with your coverage, or unsatisfied?

I’m intending this mainly for US-based DLers but it would be interesting to hear from other countries as well.

Eldergay with Medicare @ $125/month. It's fine, I'm not very sickly and have a good dr. so I'm good

Employer, low deductible PPO. $350/month for the two of us. And the company pays way more each month. Absolutely pathetic coverage compared to my private health care abroad in a developing county.

In Canada.. we get universal health care when we are born (which costs nothing) Yes .. our taxes are high, but we medical attention we aren’t going to get a bill afterwards

National General short term medical plan. $400 per month. I've never used it.

Because I'm currently unemployed, I have a plan from the Marketplace. About $430 per month. $10,000 deductible. Ouch!

Mine costs me $150/month but the total cost is $600/month. My employer subsidizes most of the premium.

It’s an OK policy, but r4 and r5 make me realize I’m lucky.

I worked for the County in the Bay Area & they offer excellent coverage, I have the same in retirement that I did while working. $10 office visits, $5 prescriptions, $35 ER visits, $100 a day hospital stay, no monthly out of pocket costs. I have a single plan, I know family plans do have an out of pocket cost. (My favorite story is I had my gallbladder removed, $10, it was considered outpatient)
