Nancy Unleashed!
Pelosi hammers numerous people in Washington in a new biography.
Pelosi unloads on the Squad, at one point adopting a child-like voice when discussing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and offers the Squad this blunt advice: “You’re not a one-person show. This is the Congress of the United States.”
Pelosi scoffs at President Obama for not being able to deliver his home state votes for Obamacare — "Why are we having a problem with Illinois?" — and bristles at Obama getting sole credit for the deals she got through Congress.

r3 'recycled paper' tho, they give a lot of lip service but the exact details vary per nation as to what materials are used, 'carbon footprint' - a phrase which misleads on its total pollution level but outside of france, one isn't likely to readily obtain that information. . . while offering up a word salad of how much they care about social justice and the environment and skimming on details of how, where, when, what -- any details of they report.
employees like the company or more specifically access to books and job locations but feel there is a huge disconnect between upper management and all those below, which complain of low pay, heavy work load, forced outside of job scope, company skimpping on hours related to overtime pay and benefits, and high employee turnover creating a hostile environment for anyone voicing concerns. yet same employees rank it four out of five, if not more... fearful of backlash?

Rashida Tlaib is Holocaust revisionist and Ilhan Omar is just an old school anti Jewish conspiracy theorist who pushes the standard tropes about Jews.
I still chuckle about the the photo Nancy Pelosi chose of her meeting with Jeremy Corbyn, who she clearly despised.
Compare it with the photos she shared of her meeting with the MPs who quit Labour over anti-Semitism and Brexit, where she was relaxed and comfortable.
Nancy Pelosi is a very clever and very successful woman who knows that change takes time and change takes more than a few sassy tweets.

LOL. Corbyn filled his team with private school poshos and aristocrats, getting his and their kids jobs they were completely unsuited for. That's why he was a catastrophic failure.
Corbyn has been an MP for 38 years and in that time he has achieved 3 things; delivering Brexit, leading Labour to its biggest defeat in 80 years and being found guilty of the Equality & Human Rights Commission of unlawful discrimination against a racial minority.
He's also a well known misogynist who promotes sexual predators as long as they're his mate of the son of his mate. He has the kind of attitude towards women you'd expect of a man with 3 brothers, 3 sons and 3 wives, each younger than the previous.

Hear, hear, r31. And to think he was ninated and seconded for party leader almost as a token leftist, to have a “broad debate“ on the party’s direction after Ed Miliband’s defeat. He won unexpectedly. Then he went on to provide no leadership during the referendum (he’s anti-EU) and to lose power for a generation, as you say. An utter and complete disaster.

What r5, r9, r18, r28 and r35 said.
Speaker Pelosi really deserved a much better political opponent than Trump for she's a great strategist and her legislative skills are unsurpassed.
McConnell managed a majority of 100. Big fucking deal. Speaker Pelosi manages a majority of 435, a much bigger task.
I loved seeing Pelosi hand Trump his ass, always tempered, however, with the knowledge that Trump is a World-Class IDIOT, and that does take some credit from her. He was all mouth and no skill.

They're using the same playbook they used with Hillary and any other strong, intelligent woman. Turn her into a caricature and project every evil thing in the world on her, even the contradictory ones and things that make no logical sense, and especially everything you yourself are doing.
AOC can be annoying but they're using the same tactics on her.
They don't use the same tactics on someone like Schumer, because he's a man.

Strong? Intelligent? What is Marie-Antoinette also “strong and intelligent“? Was Eva Braun? Was Eva Peron? You are only defending her because she is white, heterosexual, and not Jewish. She is an oligarch and a beneficiary of white heterosexual gentile privilege who has gotten richer while her constituents have gotten poorer. She would rather spend money on gold pens for impeachment documents then give working class families more than a pittance, not to mention the way she deliberately postponed it until after the election.
For the cost of this book, you could feed a homeless family.

I’m Team Nancy here. Her comments on “the squad” (the identity brigade) speak for themselves. And I’m glad she called out Saint Obama, whose arrogant aloofness alienated congresspeople like few presidents in living memory.
She has turned out to be right about virtually everything, from impeachment to the backlash against wokeness (which had a lot to do with why we lost ground in the House in 2020).
Politics is the art of the possible. Nancy gets that.
