Losing 20 pounds at that weight is easy to do by doing the bare minimum. It's not like he went from 190 to 170 - THOSE 20 pounds are difficult to lose.

You learn the hard way that if you start out being vocal as you go down, you'll be mortified at your silence on the way back up. And the return trip is usually MUCH quicker.

I was prepared to snark on Corden's weight loss (or lack thereof) but I went back and looked at my own first three months on WW last summer, and I lost 18.5 lbs in that same time, and I was roughly the same size as him. Granted, I have been homebound since Covid began, and I'm about a decade older than him, so my normal activity and metabolism has been curtailed. I also had an accident where I broke my tailbone (which is what prompted the decision to start WW) so my first month was no exercise at all. Then I was doing a treadmill for an hour a day, but still basically sitting around the house. At this point, I've been on the diet for 10 months and I've lost 70 lbs and have incorporated an exercise bike and yoga into my routine along with the treadmill, and next week I'm going to begin weight training. so my average has been 7 lbs a month, but there have been two periods where I plateaued for a while before trying something new. I feel like another plateau is coming, so I might have to do WW alongside Keto or Paleo to get the rest of the weight off. I'm also looking forward to rejoining society in a few weeks, so that will up my daily movement.

All that being said, if Corden wasn't as active due to Covid, then his weight loss avg is actually pretty normal and may actually improve if he sticks to it.
