I feel bad for this kid. His brain was damaged, certainly, but it wasn't from physical trauma. As Christopher Hitchens said, "religion poisons everything." Some religions are more poisonous then others.

I have always remembered an exchange between Lady Jane Grey and her husband, Lord Guildford Dudley, in the film about Grey's ill-starred nine days on the throne. R240, the violence in the Old Testament is historical, the violence in the islamic foundational texts is directive. Nowhere in the New Testament does God say kill, steal, rape, enslave, lie, or commit genocide. The islamic god orders and sanctifies all of these behaviors. Jesus never owned a slave, never committed mass murder, never raped a child, never stole....mohammade did all of these and muslims are quite proud of him and his him.

There is a reason why the islamic world is silent when there are islamic terrorsit attacks, muslims know it is jihad and it is ordered and sanctified by their islamic god.
