R1 I agree, and it shouldn't have been. Each episode got more boring. They need to show more of the boat and how it is different than a motor yacht. More of the actual workings. I really don't care as much about who is fucking and who isn't and who wants to be, I want to see how a sailing yacht really operates. THEN throw in some hot pieces making fools of themselves while mixing drinks for rich guests.

Also, I hope there is a truly talented chef on board. Rachel really set the bar high on the most recent Below Deck. I'm sorry to hear it looks like she won't be back next season.

Season two premiere was better than the entire first season. Love Capt Glenn and the new crew seems like they’re going to be fun. No whining so far. The 6’9 crew member who doesn’t fit into his bunk bed and the volatile chef are my favs so far. Thank God they ditched that season one crew.

I have hope for Natasha. She sounds, intelligent, take no shit, focused and well trained. She's from Trinidad so I am biased as some of the best food I've ever had was from Trinidad. They aren't afraid of spices either.

I hope she understands the importance of nibbly things available throughout the day and good appetizers like Rachel did. I don't think I can remember any other chefs who seemed to understand these concepts even though we've been screaming at them for seasons now.

I can't believe the ending; Jean-Luc chatting up the female guests while the male guests literally disappear out of sight on the water. He fucked up bad there.

r10 A number of us were pretty sure on Season One, but turns out he likes the ladies. Though unlike Captain Lee, he doesn't have a long term relationship/marriage under his belt. More of a hit it and quit it type. If he's this adorable and charming in real life as he is on the show, I could see chicks being fine with that.

We found out on the most recent season of Below Deck that the actual master bedroom on the boat is used by production. I wonder if that is the same situation here?

Honestly, if last seasons crew had come back for the new season I wouldn’t be watching. They were the absolute worst. Padgett and Ciara are getting married and Padgett has gotten into bodybuilding and looks great.

I hope this season shows more of sweet old man Capt Glenn, although even Bravo knows it's bad for ratings if he fucks any of the twenty-somethings on his boat.

Jenna really wanted to be asked back this season. Glenn was clearly pissed off at her several times last season and it just wasn't going to happen. She's just another stew who went chasing after some guy and screwed up her own job prospects in doing so. I believe I read that Adam dumped her just a few weeks after last season ended. She's so needy.

The guests on last night's season premiere were incredibly trashy! They all looked and acted like trailer trash. It must be much cheaper to book a sailing yacht vs. a big yacht.

So let's talk about that odd pita bread "drama"

Two things that make me believe Natasha. Why would she only make a single pita bread for each guest when the pita bread was central to the meal she had created? That would be like only allotting a single tortilla to each person when serving fajitas. Unthinkable. (Mary!)

It takes about as much time to make a large amount of dough for flatbreads as it does to make a small portion. In fact it's actually easier on some occasions. Pita bread being one of them, and my example of tortillas, another.

It kind of felt like the stews were out for her, as they seemed sort of gleeful about trying to catch her in a lie, and there was a gang up vibe. Why would the stews lie? Unless we are soon to discover that chef Natasha is a massive cunt and they were gunning for her to look bad. though why would they do that when they know so much of their tip relies on how good the food is?

Perhaps one of the stews dropped the other basket of them on the way to the table, and didn't just dust them off but tossed them? Or they fell into something gross and were unsalvageable which makes more sense, and tried to pin the missing ones on the chef?

The guests are obnoxious but that chef is incompetent. Steak and mashed potatoes is the easiest meal they could have asked for. Every other chef would cook the steaks properly and keep warm to serve together. One pot of potatoes and mix one serving with garlic, one with cheese, etc. This idiot served the medium well steak to the rude daughter before the medium rares.

Serving guests their dinner at the same time is cooking 101. That was a huge fuckup, or, as the chief stew said more politely, a valid complaint. Especially when it's the primary who is the one waiting 20 minutes over everyone. They should have had "daddy long legs" out there in a speedo dancing for the guy to keep him distracted and happy and increase the chances of a decent tip.

Once again...no fucking appetizers. Appetizers forgive so many mistakes and timing issues. They are easy to make ahead and serve when ready and as needed. Why don't most of the BD chefs seem to get this?

As for the mussels, I also agreed with the primary. As a huge mussel fan myself, that really was closer to a single serving (OK, quite a generous one, but still) When they are prepared in the classic style, not the larger kind of mussel that you would likely serve stuffed, they do go down fast. I'm surprised they weren't served with french fries. I would have served Oysters Rockefeller, that can be made ahead, and fired at the last minute.

Family style isn't for everyone, and it's frankly a lazy move for a chef. As much as these guys might be assholes, for what they are (technically) paying, asking for plated meals isn't a big ask at all. A lot of work? Yes, but that isn't their problem.

It looks like the breakfast next episode is going to be tragic.

Viewers who would actually hire of these charters are most likely older, even more so than people who would charter that floating Motel Six that is Below Deck. I don't want a Vanderpump Rules on the water. I want to see charming guests, a crew that knows their stuff and not hired just because they are mildly photogenic, a look each episode into how different logistics of running a charter like this work. More PBS, less Bravo, I guess is what I would like, at least for the Sailing Yacht iteration. Below Deck, fine keep it sleazy. They would’ve never been happy, and would’ve found any excuse to leave a bad tip.

I can't say I liked them. As portrayed on this show at least, they weren't interesting enough to like or dislike really. Another miss for the production of this series. They were given plenty of material with that freakshow of a family, but did absolutely nothing with it.

I agree the complaints were founded. I think their tip fairly reflected the below tier service. As everyone is sick of hearing, I adore MY Glenn, but he really needs to show some teeth once in a while. The producers/editors really did drop the ball when it came to mining some material out of these guests, and they had 3 episodes to do it in. There must have been *something* unless it was so gross, they decided to leave it on the cutting room floor.

The crew bitching about nine guests is something I don't understand. If you can't provide top notch service to nine guests, (not saying it is easy) don't approve that charter, or bring on extra help for the kitchen or crew. I read that on the other Below Deck shows they often bring on day labor to help with the cabins and cleaning.
