Wtf? Why are they investing so much capital into this hack?
Biden using Asian American groups to save Neera’s nomination

She must either be owed a ton of political favors or has something damming on someone high up. Most administrations would’ve moved on to another candidate
by Anonymous | reply 1 | February 26, 2021 3:05 PM |
Maybe they just don’t like the hypocrisy of faulting her for mean tweets after giving a pass to four years of DJT shitting all over his opponents in his incessant tweet storms.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | February 26, 2021 3:24 PM |
She’s been a Hillary Clinton sycophant for 20 years. Clinton world is pushing this big time. The question is why is Ron Klein listening to them?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | February 26, 2021 3:26 PM |
Give it a rest she means tweets, she should be a superstar here, but of course she's a woman.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | February 26, 2021 3:42 PM |
Maybe because she's quite smart and knows her stuff.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | February 26, 2021 4:19 PM |
Every time Repugs bring up the mean tweet, Dems should should start reading off the 1000's of mean tweets Trump wrote.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | February 26, 2021 4:29 PM |
Google “Manchin” “Daughter” and “epi pens”. That’s all this really about.

Biden is so desperate to install this union-busting corporate stooge...

She champions affirmative action. No thanks.

And keep giving him publicity.

I was listener to a podcast and political insiders were saying Biden is already prepared to move the woman who was supposed to be deputy head into this role,
by Anonymous | reply 11 | February 26, 2021 7:16 PM |
The Pod Save America hacks were really going hard for her.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | February 26, 2021 8:58 PM |
R12 she's part of their club. Establishment shills look out for their own.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | February 26, 2021 9:29 PM |
R11 Not that prepared to move on it seems. Murkowski is willing to take bribes and earmarks from Biden in exchange for a yes vote, to the detriment of our planet. The fact that she is even meeting with Neera on Monday says it all.
During the same week they let a $15 minimum wage die, the Biden White House bombs Syria and expends a ridiculous amount of political capital on trying to push Neera Fucking Tanden through. Practically everyone on Capitol Hill is telling them to move on, but they persist anyway. Not only is it going to prevent a quiet Friday night news dump of a withdrawn nomination where people won't notice, they are going enrage the press if they somehow manage to get her through.
The news media will go to war with the administration and will document every scandal and mishap in the OMB department, serving as a major distraction for the administration and gossip that will further be used as Fox News fodder. The press hates her. Lawmakers hate her. If they are really doing this to repay a political favor, as R1 suggests, then it's one that will lead to their downfall. Hopefully, Murkowski takes the meeting and then nips this in the bud. This has gone on for long enough and it's an L they need to take now to save face.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | February 26, 2021 9:52 PM |
I'm hoping Bernie will announce on Monday, after Neera grovels to Murkowski and vows to sell out the future of our planet in order to be confirmed, that he will vote AGAINST her. He's probably already annoyed that the Biden WH is giving up on the $15 minimum wage fight.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | February 26, 2021 9:55 PM |
She's a perfect example of one of those Clinton types who goes to 'war' with anyone they deem an opponent, as shown by her twitter.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | February 26, 2021 9:59 PM |
She is just one of the possible reasons why the US House and Senate will slip away from the Dems in 2022. She is a disgusting pig of a woman.

That woman has too much HAIR!

I'm curious to hear your rationalization behind given that his pick for Secretary of Labor, Marty Walsh, is very pro labor union. Please explain.
Is the goal to get adversaries face to face in the cabinet to hash out a workable solution before announcing it as policy?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | February 27, 2021 1:49 AM |
Every time I saw her cable news channels, she was smug. I didn't like listening to her. I'm not a fan of her confirmation, even though I am a Democrat.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | February 27, 2021 1:54 AM |
R19 Not the same poster, but I'll tell you what Biden is trading to get Murkowski to vote yes on Tanden. Reopening offshore oil drilling in Alaska. He's willing to totally derail his climate agenda to get one lousy vote on an easily replaceable cabinet nominee. Doing this, on top of betraying his campaign promises on the stimulus bill, is going to lead to a nasty backlash, but evidently they either don't see it coming (since they totally didn't see the fallout coming over Neera Tanden) or they don't care. Either way, this is burning precious political capital in the first 100 days of the administration. If this is a preview of what is to come, we are totally fucked.

This cunt is a BITCH
by Anonymous | reply 23 | February 27, 2021 4:38 AM |
LOL I have a feeling the Biden team did this to get back at Bezos for his paper working to tank Neera Tanden. So petty.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | March 1, 2021 2:16 PM |
The Washington Post has been aggressive, but they are fall from alone on this. Politico has been much worse.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | March 1, 2021 2:16 PM |
She should be arrested for treason! 🤡
by Anonymous | reply 26 | March 1, 2021 2:18 PM |
Why are the Clintons still so desperate to install their sycophants in positions of power? Are they unable to move on from influencing America?

Hillary has a real thing for woman of south Asian descent.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | March 1, 2021 2:28 PM |
LOL Jen Psaki all but admits that they are fighting harder for Neera Tanden than a $15 minimum wage. When they die on this hill, it will kill this administration. The Bernie wing better start finding a way to get some wins or the Democrats are going to get massacred in the midterms.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | March 1, 2021 5:25 PM |
Biden literally campaigned on getting back to the status quo, so I don't understand how anyone could be shocked at them fighting harder for installing a favorite in a political position over raising the minimum wage.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | March 1, 2021 5:35 PM |
R16 Typical Hillary Bro.

by Anonymous | reply 32 | March 1, 2021 5:37 PM |
This type of behavior is what leads to a liar like Trump running on a campaign of draining the swamp and people being desperate enough to believe him. Good to see that the Dems have learned almost nothing over the last 4 years.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | March 1, 2021 5:38 PM |
There are many high level jobs in the Executive Branch that don't require Senate confirmation. Find something else meaningful Neera can do.
That hair of hers is too much. It needs cut and styled. The radical feminists look doesn't fit well in the leadership mantra of the economic/financial sector.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | March 1, 2021 7:21 PM |
at this point, Biden is probably using this nomination as a sideshow. Let people go on TV and argue about this while his 1.9 trillion covid stimulus/rescue package sails through congress.
They learned from Trump that the media can only focus on one big news story at a time, so they win if its this one.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | March 1, 2021 7:27 PM |
R35 Wrong. The reason the media has been obsessively covering this is because they have made it all but explicitly clear that they don't want Neera to be confirmed. You may not think that's fair, but that is the truth. That's why nearly every news outlet across the spectrum has been posting pieces about her candidacy in the death throes and why that reporter from NBC asked the question he did. The Biden White House doesn't seem to understand that if you continue to antagonize the press, they will go to war with you. Take the L and move on.
It isn't just about Neera either. Charging the press for daily COVID tests to attend the press briefing is access journalism. It's another majorly antagonistic action that is about curbing who can and can't cover the White House. These types of actions, in culmination, will lead the press to start covering every negative scandal Biden and Harris faces and just spend the next four years dragging them mercilessly through the mud. Under such an onslaught, they can't survive politically. Many people on Capitol Hill, from Clyburn to Pelosi to Bernie, have been begging Biden and Ron Klain behind the scenes to take the L and move on, but they simply won't listen to them. They are only beginning to see the consequence of that decision now. It will become more obvious after we see what happens with Neera's meeting with Murkowski today.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | March 1, 2021 9:12 PM |
This may seem unrelated, but I have an extremely hard time believing that McConnell would come out and say this today, only for Murkowski to turn around and stab him in the back by agreeing to vote for Neera. I could be wrong, but this seems like an indication that she's a no vote and the candidacy is finally dead.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | March 1, 2021 9:48 PM |
[quote]Why are they investing so much capital into this hack?
Because no administration wants to lose. If that happens, the opposition never lets you forget it, and they know you and other nominees are vulnerable.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | March 1, 2021 10:58 PM |
...and she's qualified. So why should the Biden administration give up fighting? Sometimes, you just want to hire who you want.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | March 1, 2021 11:00 PM |
More discussion about selling out the environment in exchange for Murkowski confirming Neera. Drop the fucking nomination already. If they agree to this deal, Bernie has an obligation to announce he will vote no or he will have permanently discredited himself to everyone.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | March 2, 2021 6:45 PM |
Nomination PULLED by Biden.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | March 2, 2021 10:52 PM |
