Did anyone in NYC attend the emergency rally this past weekend to unit against “white supremacy”? Wondering what all went on.
No I didn't.
But I attended the Anti-Chinese Supremacy Rally in Shanghai.

Nobody cares about the Asians in NYC. DeBlasio has gone beyond apathy, to actual antagonism.
Also, people won’t come out in the bad weather of February. They should try again in about a month.

r2 is right. And how do they dare to talk about this during Black History Month? (<- Actual reactions I've seen often when reading about these recent violent attacks)
by Anonymous | reply 3 | February 23, 2021 10:04 AM |
Question, are these attacks mostly African-American on Asian? The comment made by the activist that whites are trying to pit the black community versus the Asian community interested me. Why would he say that?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | February 23, 2021 10:39 AM |
Asians tend to be unabashedly racist, especially against blacks. The idea of them crying out about anti-Asian racism is an example of reaping what you've sown.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | February 23, 2021 10:48 AM |
What an idiot you are, R5. So, beating up or killing another is okay because a race has been declared " racist" by you?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | February 23, 2021 1:10 PM |
In the Bay Area all the attacks against Asians have been by black people. But of course you’re not allowed to point that out. So they’re saying the attacks are “based on a system white supremacy”. You really can’t make it up. And people wonder why democrats always lose elections?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | February 23, 2021 1:16 PM |
We're still in the middle of a fucking pandemic that is not just physically but economically perilous and Covid doesn't give a shit whether we're black, white, Asian, gay, straight, trans. It will pick us all off completely without bias. Can we at least stop attacking one another until we get it under control?

[quote] Question, are these attacks mostly African-American on Asian?
Yes. The man on the poster Vicha Ratanapakdee was an 84 year old Thai immigrant who was beaten to death by 19 year old Antoine Watson, who is black.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | February 23, 2021 1:28 PM |
r1 "Han supremacy" would probably be more accurate
by Anonymous | reply 10 | February 23, 2021 1:29 PM |
R4, correct. The attackers are disproportionately black, but Latinos are also disproportionately represented among attackers, just less so. But don't say that outside. The media are insisting white supremacy is to blame.

r7 Yes how many times have I heard this haha: "White people made them (non-white attackers) to do it; Attackers are the victims of white supremacy; This is white on Asian violence no matter who the actual attacker is; We (that group) ppl can never be racist because of having no power; etc etc"

R13 yes Biden won but democrats nearly lost the house in an election where the top of the ticket won 306 EC and won by 7 million votes. That is a disaster for democrats down ballot. People are sick and tired of the wokeness and PC from democrats, and the growing narrative that everything is white peoples fault no matter what. I mean this is the perfect example. Gangs of black men are attacking elderly Asian people in the Bay Area and white peoples are still getting the blame. Democrats better be careful. Asians in CA, especially in Orange County voted for Biden but voted for republicans down ballot because of shit like this.

As usual, all video evidence points to the usual cast of deplorables (ALL WHITE) being behind anti-Asian harassment, but there are people here (likely Asian) pissed that blacks and Hispanics aren’t getting sufficient blame 😒

What are you talking about? The vast, VAST majority of violence perpetrated against Asians in this country has come from blacks and Hispanics.

As opposed to... only BLM? So the violent assault/murders of Asians should be ignored because those violent crimes are almost always committed by young black men?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | February 24, 2021 1:44 AM |
Antagonism between the Asian and black communities is hardly a new story. But, sure, these attacks, overwhelmingly committed by young black men, have actually been committed by "deplorables" (according to R15), and even when wokesters reluctantly admit a black attacker did it, it's STILL whitey's fault.
Wokesters are unironically more racist than the average American. Imagine thinking black people are animals who can't be held responsible for their actions.

Literally. That rhetoric implies that these are braindead animals - not equal humans with functioning brain - who can only act under their masters' orders.

"Harassment"? Literal murders or attempted ones (strategically targeting mostly the weak and defenseless like elderly, children, women) by pushing, beating to near death, stabbing, maiming with acid or knife are called sth other than harassment.

Its hilarious they are trying to blame whites for this. Sorry, but the crime statistics show different.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | February 24, 2021 7:27 AM |
Go back and read r14. Except for Biden the election was not good for Dems at all. If one 80 year old Dem Senator croaks, Biden could lose any chance of fulfilling his agenda. The margin is almost as close in the House.
Two years of blaming everything on white racism should easily win the Repugs Congress in 2 years.

That’s not what happened. He might have been able to try to shield his head a little if it had been a beating. He had no chance whatsoever.
See 00:48.

A look at offenders and race in this new study which was published this year: Offender Race White: 6477, Non-White: 392. No, the majority of anti-Asian racism is not committed by black people.
But you can find stupid right wing people in every race, like "Blacks for Trump" or the Hispanic leader of the "Proud Boys", who don't really see themselves as a minority.

Typical of Warren Wilhelm to show his true colors and go directly from The Mayor to Der Führer, especially after he targeted Orthodox Jewish synagogues.

The video of the 84 year old grandfather being killed by a black teen is available if you want to watch it.
Let me guess, black people are too dumb and have no agency to act— must be the white devil whispering in their ear.

Did you even read your own link, R28? It clearly says:
[quote] hate crimes against Asian Americans are more likely to be committed by non-White offenders (b = 3.60. exp.(b) = 36.72) than White offenders.
