Politically, is Florida crazier than Texas?

Doing a half staff flag thing for Rush was beyond the pale.

If Trump died tomorrow, and they lowered the flags ... well he was a US President. I could see it.

Limbaugh was a radio personality at best. Will NY lower their flags when Walters passes away? I hope not. They both had an impact to society, but not to that extent.

Texas is slowly moving in the purple direction. It will take a several more years to be seen as purple.

Florida is becoming more red.

Both have deplorable leadership.

DeSantis has gotten very fat since being elected Governor. He eats worst than Trump.

Stress eating. He didn't figure on having to (fail to) deal with a major health crisis when he ran for office.

Texas is horrible, but I think, as crazy as it sounds, oil and gas and other industries have a moderating effect. Florida has nothing comparable, and they have the Cuban lobby. Our minorities are not full-on deplorable.

Texas may be currently crazier in absolute terms, but Florida is rapidly descending into crazydom and will likely overtake Texas. Florida is declining, Texas is getting better

I don’t think Abbott would order flags to fly at half-staff for Rush Limbaugh but he did try to pass laws to make it easier for homeowners to cut down heritage trees. We have Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston. They have what: Miami? Jacksonville? We have Rice and UT-Austin, they have UF. Feh.

We don’t get the crazy trailer park methhead murders- we get the oil man, doctor, dentist, running over mistress murders.

Texans go to Aspen, buy up all the land, yell louder than anyone at parties, then buy everyone a drink. Paid for by ill-gotten market manipulation.

We’re Enron and NASA, they are bath salts and Orlando.

Additionally, I think Texas’ assholery is somewhat mitigated by being bordered by Mexico, NM, OK, AR, and LA. Florida is Deep South but Texas has more Mexican influence, thank god.

Florida and Ohio are completely hacked now. They will never vote for a Dem. POTUS again.
