I will fantasize and say Democrat.

Trivia: There’s no “ Chinquapin” parish in Louisiana.

All rethugs, excpet for M'Lynn. But she was the only democrat in her family.

I don’t have much hope for Annelle and Sammy. I think Drum is a closet Democrat. Clairee is widely known as a Dem.

It’s aunt fern I can’t square

Ouiser would complain about the woke, but she would have voted straight ticket Dem.

The armadillo cake lady would have definitely been a deplorable, as well as Jackson the low hangin' man.

R2 nailed it.

They are all Republicans by upbringing/family tradition. M'Lynn would have voted Democrat.

Ouiser would have been a vocal Trump supporter just for the reaction but she would have voted Democrat secretly just to piss everyone off.

by Anonymousreply 6January 16, 2021 12:14 AM

Shelby would vote Republican because Jackson did.

Did someone say "low hangin' man?"

Yoo hoo! Mister Man!

I'm with R5; the majority would have been Democrats. Remember, the Long family was from Winfield, up the road from Chinquapin (Natchitoches) Parish.

Jackson and his family were from Madison, so probably split Republicans and Independents.
