Yes, black men are unfairly targeted for non-violent offenses. Yes, their sentences are often harsher for whatever reason. Yes, police are often more physically aggressive with black male suspects in their encounters with them than they are with whites. All of that is true, but it is absurd to suggest that law enforcement is somehow to blame for black males being charged with and convicted of violent crimes (perpetrated against other blacks). It flies in the face of common sense.
