Police Officer Brian Sicknick’s Killer is Identified
THE FBI has released a photo of a suspect that they want in connection to the murder of Capitol officer Brian Sicknick.
Senator Bill Cassidy posted on Twitter a photo of an older bearded man wearing a blue knit cap with the letters "CFD."
The rest of the story is at the link.

Judging by the hat, he might be a fireman. How ironic he chose a fire extinguisher when he murdered a police officer
|by Anonymous||reply 1||01/12/2021|
So many of these guys they're having trouble identifying. Sounds like many live anonymously in trailers on disability somewhere in Podunk. Angry Old White Men obsessed with hating minorities.
Nobody wants to admit this is a civil war against anyone who isn't a white, heterosexual, Anglo-Saxon Protestant. Looks at the flags. Listen to their rhetoric.
When they lost Trump and lost their dream to put us all in concentration camps.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||01/12/2021|
He'll be busted by midnight. I hope his truck has a full tank because that getaway aint gonna fuel itself.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||01/12/2021|
I heard they were still looking for the guy with the huge Confederate flag who walked though the Capitol with said flag last week. They've managed to get so many of the others, I bet he's in hiding.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||01/12/2021|
Those types can't evade detection forever.
If they traipse around with Confederate flag safe to assume they are no friend of black people... it may not be tonight or tomorrow but I bet it doesn't take til next month for somebody to recognize that terrorist and make the call.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||01/12/2021|
The guy is a 62-year-old retired firefighter from Chicago
|by Anonymous||reply 6||01/12/2021|
Someone on Reddit reported that his son is a cop
|by Anonymous||reply 7||01/12/2021|
He basically wore his identity right on his forehead for all the world to see! I'm so glad the deplorables are as dumb as they are.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||01/12/2021|
Here in Pennsylvania, if a former state employee/retiree is convicted of a felony, they forfeit their pension.
Hopefully, Illinois has just such a statute.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||01/12/2021|
The guy’s brother doesn’t think it’s him, but then again he hasn’t seen his brother in six years.
But he contacted the FBI, just in case.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||01/12/2021|
Was Sicknick a Trumper too?
|by Anonymous||reply 11||01/12/2021|
I don’t see how it would it would matter if he was, R11.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||01/12/2021|
God help me, he's hot in a grandaddy porn sort of way. And who doesn't love a fireman?
|by Anonymous||reply 13||01/12/2021|
Federal charges for killing a Capitol police officer. Can I witness the execution? I'll bring the popcorn. Buttered right?
|by Anonymous||reply 14||01/12/2021|
The second line in your post is nonsense, R2. There were black and latino men, grandmothers, gays at the rally and even at the insurrection. There are even gay and lesbian republicans. I am not one of them, before you call me nazis white supremacist or something equally ridiculous. Trump got 12% of the black vote and 31% of the Latino vote. The truth matters now more than ever. Stop your incitement of hatred.
I hope they arrest as many of these insurrectionists as possible and that justice will be bold and merciless, especially the murderer of P.O. Sicknick.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||01/12/2021|
He's white, r14. He will cry and exert his white male privilege and he gets off with manslaughter and parole.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||01/12/2021|
I can't say I saw any grandmothers, the picture of the granny that went viral on Twitter was from the Kansas statehouse, not the Capitol building.
There were maybe 3 black men we've seen so far and a couple guys who looked Latino. The vast, VAST majority were white men plus a good chunk of white women.
The demographics of the insurrectionists do not line up with the demographics of the people who voted for Trump.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||01/12/2021|
R13, either not funny or time for some soul searching. So you tell us.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||01/12/2021|
Who the hell tosses a fire extinguisher and kills a cop? If he was Black it would be death penalty and life in prison.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||01/12/2021|
His losing his pension is the least of his problems. He's probably facing the death penalty.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||01/12/2021|
I wouldn’t have thought that throwing a fire extinguisher would be forceful enough to kill someone. I thought, when I first heard of the incident, that he was clubbed over the head with it. Terrible, regardless.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||01/12/2021|
You can tell he threw it with force. It’s sickening.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||01/12/2021|
It hit someone wearing a helmet.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||01/12/2021|
I can't believe the Confederate Flag guy is still out there
|by Anonymous||reply 26||01/12/2021|
[quote] I can't believe the Confederate Flag guy is still out there
He's probably a friendless recluse that no one even noticed before. So there's no one to identify him.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||01/12/2021|
He may not even be from the South.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||01/12/2021|
Bitches, it's FIREFIGHTER, not fireman.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||01/12/2021|
The fact that he was wearing a helmet is immaterial- he died.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||01/12/2021|
Officer Sicknick's father said he did support trump
|by Anonymous||reply 31||01/12/2021|
r18, there was one protester who looked like an American Indian to me.
An American Indian who is pro-Trump? WTF? Trump hates American Indians like he hates most minorities.
How the hell does that happen?
|by Anonymous||reply 32||01/12/2021|
He did support Trump (not that it should matter) but by all accounts he was a great guy and did not let his political beliefs interfere with his job.
And that's what he was doing, his job, when he sustained a fatal injury at the Capitol last week.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||01/12/2021|
R29 more like flamethrower or fire starter
|by Anonymous||reply 34||01/12/2021|
Frank Langella for the movie
|by Anonymous||reply 35||01/12/2021|
As of a few hours ago it was not known for certain that the officer who was struck by the extinguisher in the video upthread was Officer Sicknick. These may be two separate incidents.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||01/12/2021|
actually, I am cis male, r37.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||01/12/2021|
These domestic terrorists are SICK
|by Anonymous||reply 39||01/12/2021|
All these stupid hillbillies have that DERP facial hair.
WHY do they all have it?
It’s like tattooing “I’m a mouth breathing tard” on their forehead.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||01/12/2021|
[quote]He will cry and exert his white male privilege and he gets off with manslaughter and parole.
You're forgetting about the fact that he killed a cop.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||01/12/2021|
Trump may very well pardon him, but to accept the protections he has to admit guilt which will then open him up to civil prosecution. The City of Chicago can easily deny his retirement benefits on the basis of his guilty plea to a felony, so even if he never spends a minute behind bars, his cushy, taxpayer-funded retirement is gone.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||01/12/2021|
R43 names LITERALLY the only rich black male who used that advantage successfully to beat a murder rap.
Thereby making R17's point even more forcefully.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||01/13/2021|
[quote]Nobody wants to admit this is a civil war against anyone who isn't a white, heterosexual, Anglo-Saxon Protestant. Looks at the flags. Listen to their rhetoric.
I agree except for the protestant part. The Deplorable Right seem to have made peace with catholics. As long as they toe the line on the rest of your points.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||01/13/2021|
extinguishers are very heavy. but the helmet. Hmm. Massive blunt head trauma anyway? Didn't the cop return to his office and then collapse? Brain hemorrhage?
|by Anonymous||reply 46||01/13/2021|
[quote]The Deplorable Right seem to have made peace with catholics
For the time being. These kinds of pacts never hold.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||01/13/2021|
[quote] Can I witness the execution? I'll bring the popcorn. Buttered right?
Oh, no butter for me, thanks. I’m watching my cholesterol.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||01/13/2021|
[quote] Didn't the cop return to his office and then collapse? Brain hemorrhage?
Yes. And yes.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||01/13/2021|
"All these stupid hillbillies have that DERP facial hair"
Too f'ing lazy to shave. They talk disparagingly about other groups, but hicks are the laziest people on earth. Their first thought is always, 'What can I get for free?'.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||01/13/2021|
The dead cop was kind of cute. Was he a bottom?
|by Anonymous||reply 51||01/13/2021|
The letters on the cap (CFD) were altered with black tape. The AI-enhanced image, taken from video, is inaccurate. See link for explanation.
FYI, John Scott Railton is doing an incredible job of collecting images and asking the public's help in identifying the culprits.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||01/13/2021|
R52, the tweets you link show they weren't altered, that the bits that look like tape are artifacts from the image being enlarged.
[quote]Another person sought to help by "enhancing" the photo using sharpening and de-noising tools. While readers in this thread acknowledged this process created artifacts, the "enhanced" image was posted out of context in other threads, causing problems
[quote]...sleuths started taking the photo's artificial details seriously. One person speculated that the hat's artifacts were actually hidden letters intentionally covered over.
[quote]Eventually, others posted additional video footage and pointed to image compression as the likely source of the artifacts...
|by Anonymous||reply 54||01/13/2021|
R15 is in denial. The number of gays and non-white people at the riots was miniscule. It was mostly white men and you are living in denial if you think otherwise
|by Anonymous||reply 55||01/13/2021|
It is obvious R15 has a major agenda.
|by Anonymous||reply 56||01/13/2021|
And you don't, r56? Please.
|by Anonymous||reply 57||01/13/2021|
My Canadian family members seem to think Confederate flag guy was Canadian (from Alberta??) is that not a known thing?
|by Anonymous||reply 58||01/13/2021|
R15 Insanity. The white supremacist, conspiracy-driven, anti-Semitic, violent fascist mob was "diverse"
|by Anonymous||reply 59||01/13/2021|
R58, it's not him. Canadian Anti-Hate network verified the Confederate flag guy isn't the guy from Calgary.
|by Anonymous||reply 60||01/13/2021|
Hang out with nazis and white supremacists you dont get to complain when people label you one. I'm sure there are many gays and minorities happy to collaborate with these assholes and they can rot right along side these losers.
|by Anonymous||reply 62||01/13/2021|
Did one single person in the horde have on stylish clothes? It all looks like togs you'd wear shoveling-out your driveway.
|by Anonymous||reply 63||01/13/2021|
R63 The people of Bass Pro Shop.
|by Anonymous||reply 64||01/13/2021|
Only if you consider Ed Hardy haute couture.
|by Anonymous||reply 65||01/13/2021|
No problem, ElderLez, R66. The Alberta guy is scum but it's important to correctly ID the Confederate flag guy. Apparently the mis-id went kind of viral and law enforcement was being flooded with the incorrect ID.

About Brian Sicknick from The New York Post so take it for what you will:
[quote] he had written letters to his congressman opposing Trump’s impeachment.
[quote] Like many Trump supporters who are now being censored, he believed that the system is fundamentally rigged in favor of a narrow elite. He had used fiery rhetoric, even called for regime change in America.
[quote] He was deployed to Saudi Arabia and Kyrgyzstan. A series of letters he later wrote to the editor of his hometown paper give a portrait of his disillusionment with the leaders of the country he served.
[quote] He denounced the “arrogant oil hacks that occupy the White House” and complained that the Bush administration had “its hands grasped firmly on the puppet strings of conservative senators.” His conclusion was stark: “I believe we should have regime change right here in America.”
[quote] In 2004, he poured scorn on Team Bush’s proposal to revive space exploration. Why go to space, he wondered, when “the health-care system is in shambles, and many Americans have simply given up looking for jobs”?
[quote] After serving his country and observing the workings of its government, Sicknick had come to believe that America is governed by a self-interested, unresponsive and unaccountable oligarchy. There is ample evidence to support his beliefs. Biden and Sen. Chuck Schumer, both of whom voted to authorize the invasion, have suffered no consequences for their folly. Nor have the countless other supporters of the invasion who populate Congress, K Street and the think tanks
[quote] The same people who launched a costly and failed war in Iraq now hope to humiliate and silence Trump’s supporters. But the concerns that led to the rise of Trump won’t disappear until our failed elites pay for their mistakes.
He sounded like another Trump cult follower, hated Bush but loves Trump when Trump supported some of the same things that he hated Bush for doing.
|by Anonymous||reply 68||01/13/2021|
Sicknick is not wrong about a lot of things but DJT isn’t your man.
|by Anonymous||reply 69||01/13/2021|
Let’s ask Sicknick about his Tangerine Messiah now ....
|by Anonymous||reply 70||01/13/2021|
Chicago firefighter is wrongly accused of being at the Capitol. He spend the day shopping at Aldi's and Home Depot in Chicago.
I hope he can sue someone for destroying his life.
|by Anonymous||reply 71||01/13/2021|
[quote] Sounds like many live anonymously in trailers on disability somewhere in Podunk.
Well then why don’t the police just raid all the trailer parks there? Do I have to think of everything myself?
|by Anonymous||reply 72||01/13/2021|
JFC, those two don't even look that much alike, R71.
|by Anonymous||reply 73||01/13/2021|
ElderLez, do you have cane face?
|by Anonymous||reply 74||01/13/2021|
[quote] I hope he can sue someone for destroying his life.
It was his brother that called the FBI. His brother hadn't seen him in 6 years. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people born with similar features. I was walking in a college campus and I thought I saw my brother was it was his doppelgänger.
|by Anonymous||reply 75||01/13/2021|
So they still haven't found the cop's killer?
|by Anonymous||reply 76||01/13/2021|
They're calling in Jessica Fletcher.
|by Anonymous||reply 77||01/13/2021|
R71, except his life isn't "destroyed"
|by Anonymous||reply 78||01/13/2021|
R74 not only do I have can face, that cane looks at least 20 years younger than its actual age.
|by Anonymous||reply 79||01/13/2021|
[quote]Let’s ask about his Tangerine Messiah now ....
Ethel to Sicknick, Ethel to Sicknick,
Come in Sicknick.
|by Anonymous||reply 80||01/13/2021|
How is it I can't make anything out of this video? Yes, there is a fire extinguisher being tossed around, but I cannot make out any head bashing.
|by Anonymous||reply 81||01/13/2021|
I WANT TO SEE HEAD BASHING!
I DEMAND TO SEE HEAD BASHING!
|by Anonymous||reply 82||01/13/2021|
Today they identified and arrested a retired firefighter from Chester, Pennsylvania for throwing the fire extinguisher in the video upthread. The officer who was struck in this instance is not the officer who was killed. The officer struck in this particular instance was not harmed.
|by Anonymous||reply 83||01/14/2021|
Um.. someone threw a fire extinguisher at his head and connected - of course he was harmed, dumbass R83.
|by Anonymous||reply 84||01/14/2021|
He's from PA and is not the person who killed a cop. You can see the fire extinguisher bouncing off a cop's helmet but he kept on trying to control the crowd.
He's retired from the Chester FD in PA.
Sorry if this has been posted already, I haven't read the whole thread.
|by Anonymous||reply 86||01/14/2021|
An article said the MSM didn't want us to know that Sicknick was a Trumpster.
|by Anonymous||reply 87||01/14/2021|
thanks, R86. No, it wasn't posted yesterday since it came out today.
He just retired last March. I wonder if this will affect his pension. He seems contrite but they found a Proud Boy T-shirt in his house. The government needs to announce that Proud Boys is a domestic terrorist organization.
|by Anonymous||reply 88||01/14/2021|
The CFD retiree isn't the officer's killer they said.
|by Anonymous||reply 89||01/14/2021|
This same guy was up by the doors when the woman was shot. He's all over that video.
|by Anonymous||reply 90||01/14/2021|
[quote] Today they identified and arrested a retired firefighter from Chester, Pennsylvania for throwing the fire extinguisher in the video upthread. The officer who was struck in this instance is not the officer who was killed. The officer struck in this particular instance was not harmed.
So they’re no closer to finding even just a video or still image of the person who killed the cop? Is that the takeaway? This is a bit confusing.
