Judging by the hat, he might be a fireman. How ironic he chose a fire extinguisher when he murdered a police officer
by Anonymous | reply 1 | 01/12/2021 |
So many of these guys they're having trouble identifying. Sounds like many live anonymously in trailers on disability somewhere in Podunk. Angry Old White Men obsessed with hating minorities.
Nobody wants to admit this is a civil war against anyone who isn't a white, heterosexual, Anglo-Saxon Protestant. Looks at the flags. Listen to their rhetoric.
When they lost Trump and lost their dream to put us all in concentration camps.

He'll be busted by midnight. I hope his truck has a full tank because that getaway aint gonna fuel itself.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | 01/12/2021 |
I heard they were still looking for the guy with the huge Confederate flag who walked though the Capitol with said flag last week. They've managed to get so many of the others, I bet he's in hiding.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | 01/12/2021 |
Those types can't evade detection forever.
If they traipse around with Confederate flag safe to assume they are no friend of black people... it may not be tonight or tomorrow but I bet it doesn't take til next month for somebody to recognize that terrorist and make the call.

The guy is a 62-year-old retired firefighter from Chicago

Here in Pennsylvania, if a former state employee/retiree is convicted of a felony, they forfeit their pension.
Hopefully, Illinois has just such a statute.

The guy’s brother doesn’t think it’s him, but then again he hasn’t seen his brother in six years.
But he contacted the FBI, just in case.

Was Sicknick a Trumper too?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | 01/12/2021 |
I don’t see how it would it would matter if he was, R11.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | 01/12/2021 |
God help me, he's hot in a grandaddy porn sort of way. And who doesn't love a fireman?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | 01/12/2021 |
Federal charges for killing a Capitol police officer. Can I witness the execution? I'll bring the popcorn. Buttered right?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | 01/12/2021 |
The second line in your post is nonsense, R2. There were black and latino men, grandmothers, gays at the rally and even at the insurrection. There are even gay and lesbian republicans. I am not one of them, before you call me nazis white supremacist or something equally ridiculous. Trump got 12% of the black vote and 31% of the Latino vote. The truth matters now more than ever. Stop your incitement of hatred.
I hope they arrest as many of these insurrectionists as possible and that justice will be bold and merciless, especially the murderer of P.O. Sicknick.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | 01/12/2021 |
He's white, r14. He will cry and exert his white male privilege and he gets off with manslaughter and parole.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | 01/12/2021 |
I can't say I saw any grandmothers, the picture of the granny that went viral on Twitter was from the Kansas statehouse, not the Capitol building.
There were maybe 3 black men we've seen so far and a couple guys who looked Latino. The vast, VAST majority were white men plus a good chunk of white women.
The demographics of the insurrectionists do not line up with the demographics of the people who voted for Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | 01/12/2021 |
R13, either not funny or time for some soul searching. So you tell us.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | 01/12/2021 |
Who the hell tosses a fire extinguisher and kills a cop? If he was Black it would be death penalty and life in prison.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | 01/12/2021 |
His losing his pension is the least of his problems. He's probably facing the death penalty.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | 01/12/2021 |
I wouldn’t have thought that throwing a fire extinguisher would be forceful enough to kill someone. I thought, when I first heard of the incident, that he was clubbed over the head with it. Terrible, regardless.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | 01/12/2021 |
You can tell he threw it with force. It’s sickening.

He's probably a friendless recluse that no one even noticed before. So there's no one to identify him.

He may not even be from the South.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | 01/12/2021 |
Bitches, it's FIREFIGHTER, not fireman.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | 01/12/2021 |
The fact that he was wearing a helmet is immaterial- he died.

Officer Sicknick's father said he did support trump
by Anonymous | reply 31 | 01/12/2021 |
r18, there was one protester who looked like an American Indian to me.
An American Indian who is pro-Trump? WTF? Trump hates American Indians like he hates most minorities.
How the hell does that happen?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | 01/12/2021 |
He did support Trump (not that it should matter) but by all accounts he was a great guy and did not let his political beliefs interfere with his job.
And that's what he was doing, his job, when he sustained a fatal injury at the Capitol last week.

[quote]He will cry and exert his white male privilege and he gets off with manslaughter and parole.
You're forgetting about the fact that he killed a cop.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | 01/12/2021 |
Trump may very well pardon him, but to accept the protections he has to admit guilt which will then open him up to civil prosecution. The City of Chicago can easily deny his retirement benefits on the basis of his guilty plea to a felony, so even if he never spends a minute behind bars, his cushy, taxpayer-funded retirement is gone.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | 01/12/2021 |
R43 names LITERALLY the only rich black male who used that advantage successfully to beat a murder rap.
Thereby making R17's point even more forcefully.

The letters on the cap (CFD) were altered with black tape. The AI-enhanced image, taken from video, is inaccurate. See link for explanation.
FYI, John Scott Railton is doing an incredible job of collecting images and asking the public's help in identifying the culprits.
Offsite Linkby Anonymous | reply 52 | 01/13/2021 |
R52, the tweets you link show they weren't altered, that the bits that look like tape are artifacts from the image being enlarged.
[quote]Another person sought to help by "enhancing" the photo using sharpening and de-noising tools. While readers in this thread acknowledged this process created artifacts, the "enhanced" image was posted out of context in other threads, causing problems
[quote]...sleuths started taking the photo's artificial details seriously. One person speculated that the hat's artifacts were actually hidden letters intentionally covered over.
[quote]Eventually, others posted additional video footage and pointed to image compression as the likely source of the artifacts...

About Brian Sicknick from The New York Post so take it for what you will:
[quote] he had written letters to his congressman opposing Trump’s impeachment.
[quote] Like many Trump supporters who are now being censored, he believed that the system is fundamentally rigged in favor of a narrow elite. He had used fiery rhetoric, even called for regime change in America.
[quote] He was deployed to Saudi Arabia and Kyrgyzstan. A series of letters he later wrote to the editor of his hometown paper give a portrait of his disillusionment with the leaders of the country he served.
[quote] He denounced the “arrogant oil hacks that occupy the White House” and complained that the Bush administration had “its hands grasped firmly on the puppet strings of conservative senators.” His conclusion was stark: “I believe we should have regime change right here in America.”
[quote] In 2004, he poured scorn on Team Bush’s proposal to revive space exploration. Why go to space, he wondered, when “the health-care system is in shambles, and many Americans have simply given up looking for jobs”?
[quote] After serving his country and observing the workings of its government, Sicknick had come to believe that America is governed by a self-interested, unresponsive and unaccountable oligarchy. There is ample evidence to support his beliefs. Biden and Sen. Chuck Schumer, both of whom voted to authorize the invasion, have suffered no consequences for their folly. Nor have the countless other supporters of the invasion who populate Congress, K Street and the think tanks
[quote] The same people who launched a costly and failed war in Iraq now hope to humiliate and silence Trump’s supporters. But the concerns that led to the rise of Trump won’t disappear until our failed elites pay for their mistakes.
He sounded like another Trump cult follower, hated Bush but loves Trump when Trump supported some of the same things that he hated Bush for doing.
