Someone posted this in a different thread but I think it deserves it's own thread. The Dept. of State's website is listing Trump's term as having ended TODAY.
Did Trump Just Resign? Or conversely, Did Congress Just 25th Him?

Wha?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | 01/11/2021 |
Screen-capped for all eternity!
WHAT THE FUCK does this mean????????????
Is Trump still going to Alamo, Texas?

[quote]Donald J. Trump's term ended on 2021-01-11 19:40:41.

I love DL web sleuths!
by Anonymous | reply 5 | 01/11/2021 |
I wish. But somehow I think it’s just, uh...a mistake? It is weird, though...it’s still there, I just clicked through.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | 01/11/2021 |
The timestamp keeps changing, this person has screen shots of different times being listed.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | 01/11/2021 |
Hacked. Not a very good sign for our national security, but we basically have no national security.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | 01/11/2021 |
Where is his bio though?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | 01/11/2021 |
It's a hack, the Wayback Machine shows that this page didn't even exist on the State Dept website until today.
Great, on top of everything else, our government websites are getting hacked.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | 01/11/2021 |
It seems to be down now.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | 01/11/2021 |
I'm still able to get to it, it's up and not just in my browser cache.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | 01/11/2021 |
It was in UTC/GMT a clock in current time. HACK!
by Anonymous | reply 14 | 01/11/2021 |
Ah, the ol' disgruntled staffer, at it again.
[quote]UPDATE: Sources tell @BuzzFeedNews a "disgruntled staffer" is behind the State Department site's change of Trump and Pence's biographies.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | 01/11/2021 |
This joke will never get old to me
[quote]Really excited for my first day as webmaster for the US State Department. Now to take a big sip of coffee and see what everybody is talking about

That's probably security, R13.

www.state.gov: "We're sorry. This site is currently experiencing technical difficulties." 😬
by Anonymous | reply 19 | 01/11/2021 |
Thank you disgruntled staffer for giving me a chuckle today.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | 01/11/2021 |
I took a screen cap and was ready to pop open some champagne!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 21 | 01/11/2021 |
Fake news. Not one mention on CNN or MSNBC.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | 01/11/2021 |
R18 Aaaaand I'm dead.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | 01/11/2021 |
The state department said a disgruntled worker did it.

[quote] Special rush delivery of Mother's inauguration frock.
No, we're sending that by drone.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | 01/11/2021 |
Her dress is also the parachute!
by Anonymous | reply 27 | 01/11/2021 |
So Pence is at the White House but the helicopters are over his residence? Okay, that is weird.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | 01/11/2021 |
R26 Well THAT'S a great big bummer. I was loving the defiant, pissed off Mike Pence. Oh well.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | 01/11/2021 |
R26's link doesn't say anything about them being on speaking terms, it says Pence and his Chief of Staff went to the White House today despite Trump saying his CoS wasn't allowed back into the White House.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | 01/11/2021 |
Never in a billion years would Trump ever resign. He is incapable of backing down.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | 01/11/2021 |
There aren't many reasons that Pence would enter a white house where he's considered an enemy, so...
Here's hoping!!!
by Anonymous | reply 32 | 01/11/2021 |
[quote] He is incapable of backing down.
His multiple business bankruptcies prove he is no stranger to quitting and backing down.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | 01/11/2021 |
Of course this wouldn't be real people, c'mon.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | 01/11/2021 |
See r15, r35.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | 01/11/2021 |
Is a Marine standing outside the the West Wing door? If not, where is Trump lurking?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | 01/11/2021 |
"Disgruntled State Department employee".
That narrows it down by about 5 people.

I'm trying to squeeze in one more nip and tuck.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | 01/11/2021 |
R18, just so you know, you’re why I come to Datalounge.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | 01/11/2021 |
R18, I read that at first glance as “Mother’s inauguration fuck”.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | 01/11/2021 |
Well THAT’S not gonna happen.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | 01/11/2021 |
Probably trying to secure a pardon from Pence.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | 01/11/2021 |
At first, I wondered if Pence was in danger, going into a white house that considers him a traitor and where Trump is on the verge of strangling "the traitor" with his bare hands.
But then I realized that if Pence is killed or incapacitated then Pelosi would become vice president, and she'd have that MOFO 25th'd and out on his ass before the cup of coffee she's holding got cold. And Trump knows that.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | 01/11/2021 |
Trump would pick another VP and they would be approved by Congress, if there was enough time. Pelosi wouldn't become VP.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | 01/11/2021 |
R45, you really don’t understand the succession line for the presidency, do you?
by Anonymous | reply 47 | 01/11/2021 |
R35, yes, turns out to be a disgruntled employee at the State Dept
by Anonymous | reply 48 | 01/11/2021 |
Are there any gruntled employees that work for the government?
by Anonymous | reply 49 | 01/11/2021 |
Well only 40 minutes until the end of the Trump national nightmare, I can't wait.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | 01/11/2021 |
R46, even if there were more time, under what scenario do you think Congress would ever approve a VP pick?
by Anonymous | reply 51 | 01/11/2021 |
Has Mike left the White House yet?
by Anonymous | reply 52 | 01/11/2021 |
R49 🙃 WW.

R49 Brian Williams stole your joke, he just said this doesn't appear to be the work of the gruntled.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | 01/11/2021 |
Political schadenfreude at an all time high for me. The term “Better off dead” never fit tRump better than now.

Thank you for letting me know. I’m calling NBC Corporate headquarters when they open and demanding both a credit and compensation.
That little hussy.
