Trains and Obstacles

At the link, trains and snow. I like when the train showers snow on expecting pedestrians at train stations, because I’m a sadistic, or something.

They used to have “cow catchers” on the front of trains, which would push a cow out of the way. Bison were too big, so the train people decided that they had to go.

Thanks for sharing! That was oddly satisfying to watch. I kinda wish they hadn't slowed down the train going through the station and instead shown it at full force. Maybe I'm sadistic too, hehe.

But it was very interesting, I'd never actually thought of what trains would have to do in countries where it snowed for a good part of the year.

OP, you are on the spectrum, correct?

Hooey with the sadism crap. That’s great video. The people just standing there watching right on the edge of the platform... no explanation for the human behavior...I’d have faded inside as soon as I saw it coming. Maybe they just wanted good seats?

There was an excellent movie of the Canadian Pacific set to Mishima by Ph Glass a few years back. Suppressed, alas.
