Surely, it can't keep doing this until inauguration day. Should Pompeo be meeting the Taliban now?
What does the Constitution say about when an outgoing admin stops making major domestic or foreign decisions or appointments?

He's doing job interviews to hire them for a new 9/11.

They're trying to set as many traps and quagmires as they can for Biden so his administration will be a failure.
I love how they think Trump will stay relevant. They have no idea how fast this bloated old jerk is going to fade. He's not a politician, he doesn't even know the Constitution. It's not like he's going to be Mayor of New York or Gov. of Florida. He's going back to dirty laundering deals to make fast cash.
His Presidency was a fluke, aided by Putin's hackers. That's all. 'bye

Yes r2 I agree he will scream and rant but increasingly into a void. Trump out of office won't last as he has no ideas. And his name brand is shit unless he opens a casino in Branson.

The Construction assumes most office holders will actually act in good faith and provides the 25th Amendment and the impeachment process for this sort of bizarre behavior. However neither the Cabinet nor the Republicans in the Senate will put county over party. So. We. Are. Fucked.
Enough local Republicans, especially the SOS in Georgia, are thankfully behaving sufficiently ok. I won't say behaving well. They should be pressuring the national party to remove Trump.

So no provision for this eventuality?

What a fat assbag that Pompeo is.....miserable creature.

The current president is president until the next one is inaugurated. There is nothing in the constitution that says any of his duties end or are diminished between the time a new president is elected and inaugurated. Sorry.

There is no eventuality, R5. There's nothing in the Constitution to force Trump to do his job.

Biden will have a far more difficult job than alleged "traps" and "quagmires"; staying alive and cognizant enough to serve out his term.

Nothing to apologize about. Or is there?

The Taliban should keep Pompeo locked up in a cave for a few years. He deserves it.

If you were a horny sweaty hairy Taliban what would you do with Pompeo?

Afghan men are swarthy but not especially hairy.
