It’s her dad’s side. Somewhere in that line they were bankers or financiers for the Vatican or something, and there’s a few princesses thrown in. They were Italians who migrated over to France.

R24 yes Frank Shields was from a “Palm beach Society” family. Not sure how her mother ever got into the picture. Suddenly Susan was a shit not funny show however (time slot hit) and while Brooke Shields is a lovely woman who by some miracle seems well adjusted, she never became much of an actress.

Skipping over your spouse is the easiest path to a quickie divorce and a great way to lose the dead weight.

History has proven when a spouse ks overlooked in an acceptance speech, it's intentional. Whenever it happens the couple gets divorced shortly thereafter (James Cameron & Linda Hamilton, Hillary Swank & Chad Lowe come to mind).

Love Brooke Shields - not so much Suddenly Susan. But I’m glad it gave her some success. A seemingly decent person despite all the trauma. Wish her well.
