That is speculation. The indigenous population didn't keep records.

The documented cases amount to just over a hundred in a couple of incidents of retaliation.

And of course that hundred or so is a small amount compared to millions in North and South America.

I think we can all agree that the Australians on whom these threads center are the descendants of British Isles immigrants or convicts, though good nutrition has given them considerably more length of bone. I never see surfers or Bondi beach lifeguards or whatever of Aboriginal, Chinese, Vietnamese, or even Greek or Lebanese descent.
