Datalounge memes you don't "get"
I'm not talking about references you don't understand, I'm talking about common threads or themes that you don't understand the appeal and draw of. For example, I never get sick of Golden Girls threads and, as someone who grew up as a theatre geek in the 80s and 90s with Sondheim shows repeating endlessly on Bravo (remember when it was an arts channel?), I get kind of tickled by all the Follies threads.
But, on the flip side....
I do not understand the board's obsession with Armie Hammer and his ex-wife.
I do not understand the appeal of "Let's be..." threads.

I agree with you about Armie Hammer's wife. I mean, I get why people here care about HIM because he's hot....who cares about his non-famous frau wife?

I thought the Let's be a Non Profit was a scream and shared it with several of my friends that work at various NYC gay non-profs. I was able to include a link because I easily did a search on google for it and came up with it in two seconds also.
What's really super pathetic is the OP of this post could have easily done the same. There have already been so many posts about this very same subject. From pasta draining to the Let's Be posts. And they are NOT memes either. But OP is yet another lazy butthole that couldn't be bothered to do a search. Let me just take up digital time and space with another fucking tired pasta post. Nobody thinks you're funny either OP so who cares what you think of pasta draining or Let's Be posts.
You should have never came here. You're not welcome. I suggest you don't come back either. You're in way over your head on this one. You should have kept your fat PIE HOLE SHUT and did a search first!!

R11--Let's Be Forensic Files was so, so funny. Also, I can't remember if it was a Let's Be but one thread that went on & on about 70s crafts kits and projects, had so many hilarious posts. r51, Somebody claimed that a wise Gary Morton talked his wife Lucille Ball out of playing the part of Laurence Harvey's mother, the evil Mrs. Iselin, in the John Frankenheimer original film adaptation of "The Manchurian Candidate" (it is a matter of record that Frank Sinatra originally suggested her for the role instead of Angela Lansbury). Then someone hilariously suggested a wise Gary Morton also talked Lucy out of playing other classic but incredibly unlikely roles in her twilight years --the one that really got people going was as Beth Jarrett in "Ordinary People" (the role that went to Mary Tyler Moore), but my favorite was a wise Gary Morton convincing Lucy not to take the part of the prostitute, Bree, that Jane Fonda played in "Klute."
