COVID Outbreak in VP’s Office
@ABC - VP Pence’s chief of staff, Marc Short, positive for the coronavirus. This comes after news of another close associate, outside adviser Marty Obst, tested positive earlier this week & ABC has also learned at least one additional staffer in the VP’s office tested positive.
WH statement: “While Vice President Pence is considered a close contact with Mr. Short, in consultation with the White House Medical Unit, the Vice President will maintain his schedule in accordance with the CDC guidelines for essential personnel.”

Isn't there some rule that "essential personnel" have to be performing some actual duty related to their esssentialness to not quarantine? Campaigning for election is not an essential duty of the VP.
In any case this is a great reminder to the American people how messed up the White House STILL is on Covid prevention and strategy, even after Trump himself got it and hosted a superspreader event that swept the White House.

In a column for his campus consrvative paper, Short "disparaged people living with HIV and AIDS," stating "the propaganda campaign ignited by gay activists and carelessly perpetuated by journalists whose intent is to scare all heterosexuals into believing they are prime targets for contraction of the disease.
