It's normal and common, OP.

Rare for men to lose much more than that as they age, but common for women as they are far more impacted by osteoporosis due to menopause.

Doctors who perform prostate surgery never tell patients that along with incontinence, their penises will shrink.

Lift weights, helps with bone density

OP - are you in good shape? Do you have a stretching regimen? Start doing about 15 minutes of stretching and yoga per day and you’ll probably pick up about a half inch in no time. Start doing about 15 minutes of stretching and yoga per day and you’ll probably pick up about a half inch in no time

Stand straight, stop slouching. Didn't your mother teach you anything?

I have scoliosis. It's getting worse...I lost two inches in my 50s. NOT a "woman's disease."

At least your dick will look longer on you now, OP.

Well look on the bright side-- now that you're old, no one cares how tall you are.

I always had a mild scoliosis, but two years ago I was in a car accident. The whiplash seemed to have reawakened all the old injuries I ever had, but I also started to have incredible spinal releases over the next few months. I was sore as hell! Whatever caused my scoliosis unjammed itself, and I actually ended up an inch taller. Yes, I know this sounds crazy but the difference in my x-rays was obvious, and my posture is hugely improved. Too bad the accident couldn't have reset my metabolism as well.

r13 its not crazy. people become more hunched over time. A quarter inch in a few different muscle groups adds up. Neck stretches and side stretches possibly being the most helpful to gain length.

Your ball sack also stretches. So yeah. Got wet toilet balls to look forward to as well, OP.

When I got my physical at age 18 for college I was 5'9 1/2. At age 55 during my annual medical exam I learned I was 8 1/2, so I shrunk 3/4 inches in 37 years. It's a combination of your vertebrae settling and your posture/spine alignment. A good friend of mine I know since we were teens has shrunk 2/12 inches, so everybody is different.

R16 Clarification, at 18 I was 5'9" 1/4.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | October 25, 2020 1:57 AM |
I was 5’11” for years. About 55 was 5’10”, now at 67 5’9”. Same thing happened to both my parents.

I’m in my early 60s & my contemporaries swear that I am getting taller. I think it’s that they are getting shorter.
