I'm thinking of quitting my part-time job (scared of Covid)
I started it very recently, but with the perenially rising Covid cases in my country as well as in the Czech Republic (which has the worst outbreak in the world right now), I am thinking of quitting my part-time 450 Euro/month job. I don't want to catch Covid and pass it on to my mother, hence killing her. After working there for the last two times, I am always very concerned of having contracted Covid. Right now, I am not so sure and a bit relaxed about it, because I do not want to give up for nothing and in general it seems like nobody cares anymore. Everybody is out and about, enjoying life, doing things. Maybe I am overreacting? But I know that when I contract Covid I would freak out!
For some hours, I am also walking through a cold storage, which I am sure is a perfect breeding ground for the virus. And some workers are not wearing their masks properly. Half of the team are Czech workers and it is really bad there.
What should I do? Any of you rich daddies want to maybe provide me with some American capitalism?

Is Germany not helping out people who have to stay home to protect themselves and their parents/loved ones? Seems as though they would help, Germany's a decent country.

Could you possibly consider doing some translation work at home? I mean if you're skilled both in German and English.

You are too ginormous to be a whore, GGGranny.
Keep the job, but spend a few euros buying alcohol and face masks from China to protect yourself and your mom.

I think I will look for translation jobs...
It's the internet, so I can just be an absolute selfish grifter and ask the following question: Why doesn't anybody of you want to give me some money?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | October 24, 2020 6:08 PM
|
Why would we give money to some German gay guy we don't know on the internet?
I understand that you're broke and worried about covid on the job. People I know feel the same. We have friends, family, charities who all need money right now and we actually know them
Why would you think that a stranger on the internet could, would or should take precedence?
And you have never answered my question about the German government assisting German citizens during the pandemic.

I will assume this is a real situation. I am sorry it's so difficult. If Germany is not providing minimum standard of living payments - what choice do you have? Doesn't your mother have an income? And why is your father being stingy?
Well listen, COVID isn't going away and you have to get on living your life and making your living. Soon it will have wasted a year for people like you - people who don't have good jobs, good incomes. Are you going to let it waste another year of your youth? Are you going to let it leave you completely broke?
You need to be smart and wear a mask and be scrupulous about washing your hands and go make money. You're young, right? In France and Switzerland the young are just going on with their lives. Like what you see around you, which is making you nervous. But my input is, don't sit life out. If you get infected, you'll be OK.
I don't have a solution for protecting your mother. I suggest you talk to your GP or a social worker to get your anxiety level in check and maybe they can give you ideas about how to protect mom.

How old are you?
I'm the college prof in Switzerland. Most young people are doing everything they want. They wear masks when around authority figures, and in shops and public transport. Otherwise they are living their lives - working - studying - socializing. The rates are rocketing here.
This is what capitalist powers that be want.
Is your mother really protecting herself scrupulously? Or are you worrying about yourself and her, but she isn't doing enough for herself? If she is really being scrupulous - why don't you look into finding share with other young people, and leave your mother to live alone until vaccines arrive.

[quote] I do feel ashamed for my life choices.
Please don’t. Sometimes we make choices when we’re young and dumb that we will eventually regret as we get older. But there’s nothing we can do about them now, so rueing the day isn’t going to be helpful.

Can you give me some attention??? Please? Please? Also please don't expect me to be able to speak German. I am German btw LOL!!!!!!!!!

Start camming and put your hungry bum to good use. Get an Only Fans page, or join Chaturbate. I think you could really work the whole virgin schtick, hands-free cumming, etc. You could always wear a blindfold, sunglasses, or a beanie pulled down over your eyes. Desperate times call for desperate measures indeed. I'm betting you would enjoy the attention as well.

R33 Maybe, maybe not, but it's definitely something featured in porn and cams. You've mentioned it several times; I think some view it as a skill, and a turn-on. You ought to try it.

I am German, R31! I am GermanGayGay, meaning I hold twice the gay as the troll! Do you like this concept? I think it is very good because it means that I, a German, have something in common with your great American invention — the double-wide mobile home! I believe this is called a "double-wide trailer" in your funny American slang? LOL! Have you heard of this? We don't have such things in my tiny village in Bavaria! That's in Germany!
As a German who has lived his whole life in Germany, I dream to visit your glorious Midwest and live for some time in this mobile home! Have you ever lived in one? Did you like it? Do you have to be rich to live in one? To rent one? Is this the most expensive accomondation in your country? As a German, I do not know such things! I have much sadness that my American trailer-park dream will now not come true because I am destitute! Sigh!
I have an idea! I will make a contest! If every hot American Daddy of Datalounge will post a full-body nude, I will choose the lucky winner who will finance my dream trip! In exchange, I allow you to take my coveted German virginity! Wow! Wow! It is yours!
I think this is very great prize for the sexiest American daddy of DL! Are you excited to enter? Are you also excited to enter my contest? Even as a destitute German living in Germany, I no longer have sadness! I will go watch Criterion Channel for some time and will come back to view your hot American bodies! I am very happy now!

You need a good hook GGG, like this guy had. Made out like a bandit. Shame the thread was deleted at his request, you could've picked up some pointers.
"I saved up to move back to Los Angeles in February. A friend was nice enough to put me up for a while, but I've had to leave his place. I found an Air B&B, which I'm at now, but the day is rapidly approaching when I'll be out of money. My last day of being in this Air B&B is Monday, then I'm basically homeless. The crazy thing is, I totally hustled when I got here. I got two jobs. One was supposed to start on the 16th, but that was the Monday that all hell broke loose, and it got postponed. As did the other job I got with the Census. I figure $1,000 would be enough to get a cheap Air B&B till May. (I hear may places are heavily discounted.) Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. And please let me know here if you have any questions for me. I will keep you all updated on my progress though the month, too."

Why do you say a mask won't help you? Of course it will. That and making sure you wash your hands or use hand sanitizer frequently through the day and refraining from touching your face, you should be okay.

Doesn't Germany have good medical coverage? In my opinion you need a psychological consultation because you will have to get your anxiety under control. It sounds like you have social challenges in general, in good times, and now COVID is doing a number on you, even without being infected with it.

by Anonymous | reply 44 | October 25, 2020 9:31 AM

GGG, I mean this kindly but you aren't helping yourself with all this over thinking. Cold temperatures (such as the storage room) do not cause illness.
Best thing you can do improve your general physical and mental health. Go to DM and buy a box of vitamin D and a box of vitamin C - should cost you about 3€. Take them. Do more exercise (sportsverein is usually very cheap), get outdoors and don't give up your job - maybe your co-workers are nice and could be befriended.
Unless your mum is really old or has a secondary condition I doubt she is at that much risk. And would she be thrilled if you gave up your job? I expect she values the money coming in and some time with you out of the house.

[R45] here.
Okay, maybe not lazy but where's your courage? Your mental fortitude? Being a hero isn't about just about shooting guns or rescuing people from burning buildings. Sometimes it's about helping your mum with the bills and getting out of her hair for a few hours a day. Bringing groceries to the community. Being part of something. With PPE and good hygiene protocol you can do this job. Come on, find your spine.. you can do it!

Oh sorry then. I didn't know about the pre-existing conditions. have you shared this info here? And does Germany provide any support for such medical exceptions? here in Switzerland the doctor would probably sign you off work - medical excuse, if the risk is there because of such a condition. Then invalidity would have to cover your salary until its safe again.
