How do you think people will react once Covid is sufficiently contained? Do you think they will live in moderation or do you think society will ramp up the partying, the shopping, the drunken orgies to make up for lost time?
After Covid

I think more people will be working from home now that corporations and companies realize they can pass on the cost of real estate to their employees.

I don’t think Covid is going to be contained for a long time. In the US, we missed our chance to do that quickly, like with SARS. It also looks to me like any vaccine would only be effective for several months, much like a flu shot. So we will probably be dealing with huge waves and smaller upticks in infections for a few years. Eventually, our immune response will be better at combating it and it won’t be so dangerous.
But Trump may have done irreparable damage to the public’s ability to take this seriously by stoking conspiracy theories about Covid and downplaying its seriousness. If 30-40% of the population consistently resists things like masks, social distancing, contact tracing, and an eventual vaccine, Covid could be a big problem for a decade or more.

We will get Covid and flu shots every year and live with it the way we live with flu under those circumstances.
