Have your neighbors donated to Trump?

Website lets you discover who around you have donated to Trump.

No one on my street apparently, but there are a couple close by.

I live in Georgia so I am quite certain that some of my neighbors have donated to Trump but is that really my business? Is it their business what I do with my money? That is a deplorable (no pun intended) website. That info should be private.

by Anonymousreply 1October 23, 2020 10:27 PM

R1, I understand the thought, but people really should know who is giving money to political candidates. If the information was hidden, it would be even easier to get around campaign contribution laws. Often it has been up to individual citizens, such as reporters, to uncover wrongdoing using publicly available records.

by Anonymousreply 2October 23, 2020 10:35 PM

Some retired old man on the street right next to mine donated $438 to Trump in March.

by Anonymousreply 3October 23, 2020 10:37 PM

I wouldn't advise clicking anything called donaldtrump.watch. It's probably some click bait site funded by maga with worms or a virus.

No thanks.

by Anonymousreply 4October 23, 2020 10:40 PM

the website is fraud. This is not an official website.

by Anonymousreply 5October 23, 2020 10:40 PM

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD

The website is Fraud. Do not click.

R4

It’s not. I just checked on Norton and Google and they say it’s safe.

R5

No it is not. It is literally picking up donation information from a government website and putting it onto a map.

by Anonymousreply 7October 23, 2020 10:45 PM

If it didn't have .org, I suspected Natasha and Boris.

The russians are very angry right now. The threads this weekend will reflect the desperation.

[quote] It is literally picking up donation information from a government website and putting it onto a map.

No, it's not.

by Anonymousreply 9October 23, 2020 10:47 PM

R9

Yes, it is you bitch.

by Anonymousreply 10October 23, 2020 10:54 PM

This is public information and the website just mapped it. It’s 100% CREEPY but doable.

by Anonymousreply 11October 23, 2020 10:55 PM

Literally zero donations within 25 blocks of me.

by Anonymousreply 12October 23, 2020 11:28 PM

Very creepy, but fun!

by Anonymousreply 13October 23, 2020 11:31 PM

R12 lucky you. I live in a major city and still found a few donors within a few blocks. Mostly from 2016 and very few current donors.

by Anonymousreply 14October 23, 2020 11:34 PM

You're all sick. Who gives two flying fucks who voted for who. Are you lifeless assholes going to keep a mental tab? I pray you all develop Alzheimer's.

Anyone who finds this intriguing should be exterminated. Bullets, machete, gas, bio...whatever!

Gladis Kravitiz at OP doesn't approve of what you do in your own house at night when she is peeping through your window!

Some of you freaking out about this site must be closet Trumpers.

by Anonymousreply 17October 24, 2020 12:02 AM

The FEC web site will give you the same info.

That's how you do it, R18. 👍👍

by Anonymousreply 19October 24, 2020 12:08 AM

I scrolled through my zip code for the past year. My zip code is the most populated in Vermont. 58 donations in total to Trump, about 30 people total. One woman donated and took it back.

by Anonymousreply 20October 24, 2020 12:41 AM

1 donor in my building! She is on the HOA condo board!

by Anonymousreply 21October 24, 2020 12:42 AM

R18 Is there a search feature on that site? I didn’t see it.

by Anonymousreply 22October 24, 2020 12:52 AM

r22, use the change filter options

by Anonymousreply 23October 24, 2020 1:06 AM

I'm certain the Biden administration will be getting all these data runs and we'll see how things go for these unfortunates (but asking for it, to be fair.)

by Anonymousreply 24October 24, 2020 1:16 AM

Love this…too much! Lol…DL catnip!

by Anonymousreply 25October 24, 2020 1:21 AM

I had to check out my zip code, deep in the heart of the Deep Red South. Was not surprised by all the dumbasses pissing away their cash on Trump, but I was pleasantly surprised by all the ActBlue donations! (73 of which were mine)

by Anonymousreply 26October 24, 2020 1:32 AM

Only a few Republican donors in my zip code. A few donors seemed to be hedging their bets, by donating to 'ActBlue', but also to Bernie and Tulsi.

by Anonymousreply 27October 24, 2020 1:35 AM

Act Blue is weird. All my donations to Pete show as act blue, not specific to Pete.

by Anonymousreply 28October 24, 2020 1:53 AM

So what do the red and yellow points mean? When I click on them, they both show Dump's pic.

by Anonymousreply 29October 24, 2020 1:59 AM

Is there one for Biden?

by Anonymousreply 30October 24, 2020 2:00 AM

R29

The red means they donated to Trump this year (2020). The yellow means they donated in previous years.

by Anonymousreply 31October 24, 2020 3:43 AM

I live in a building with 371 units in NYC.

There is precisely one Trump donor who gave him $40. I don't know who she is.

by Anonymousreply 32October 24, 2020 5:02 AM

I was surprised by how many. I spent some time clicking to see who I knew

by Anonymousreply 33October 24, 2020 5:06 AM

Isn't this a little intrusive?

by Anonymousreply 34October 24, 2020 5:14 AM

Interestingly, the MAGAt down the street with four MAGA signs in his yard hasn't donated.

Neither has the moron flying his MAGA flag.

by Anonymousreply 35October 24, 2020 5:16 AM

Some fool in my area donated to Trumptardo 19 times.

by Anonymousreply 36October 24, 2020 5:42 AM

This is creepy AF. Also r18 is creepy, I didn't realize that info was quite so easily accessible.

by Anonymousreply 37October 24, 2020 6:06 AM

What does blue mean? There’s a blue marker IN MY BUILDING.

by Anonymousreply 38October 24, 2020 6:24 AM

Political donations are public record and include your full name, address, and occupation, R37.

by Anonymousreply 39October 24, 2020 6:31 AM

I wish I hadn't looked. My next-door neighbor has made several donations. I thought she was better than that.

by Anonymousreply 40October 24, 2020 6:32 AM

People are literally afraid of Trump. They think he'll find out they voted for Biden and come after them. Like he's Saddam Hussein or something. They don't have the courage to vote him out.

by Anonymousreply 41October 24, 2020 6:39 AM

What people are these R41? I have never met anyone who thinks that way or heard of anyone who thinks that way.

by Anonymousreply 42October 24, 2020 6:49 AM

[quote]Literally zero donations within 25 blocks of me.

You might want to look again. I thought the same thing but then I clicked on the little 'search here' box that popped up on the map as I moved it around. Then, it filled in more of that area. Every time you click it fills in more and more. The original search when you just put in an address or zip code is very narrow concerning the area it covers and leaves everything beyond a couple blocks blank to start.

by Anonymousreply 43October 24, 2020 7:08 AM

I'm not sure if I'm reading that FEC site correctly, but 95% of the people I found in my zip code (a low-income inner city neighborhood) gave to ACTBLUE during the past year. I wondered what that was til I found my own contribution and realized it must be a Democrat org. (I gave $100 to Biden very early on).

One person gave $5,000 to the "Democratic Party". One gave $500 for "Amy For America". And someone with an African-sounding name (similar to Erika Badu) gave $2,500 to a Republican org. There were about ten $100 contributions like mine, but the rest were much smaller amounts given to the Democratic party.

If I'm reading it correctly, it hints at a landslide for Biden. At least in my neck of woods.

by Anonymousreply 44October 24, 2020 7:09 AM

Horrifying. It's like finding Nazis under rocks.

by Anonymousreply 45October 24, 2020 8:14 AM

R44 I see your point but there are far more people who don’t donate anything than those who do. Trump may over index with the people who give nothing and those are way more than the donors.

by Anonymousreply 46October 24, 2020 9:31 AM

More people donated to Trump in my area last year than this year. Seems like a good sign.

by Anonymousreply 47October 24, 2020 7:29 PM

bump
