Having had several family members die from cancer (lung cancer included) I can tell you that when it gets to the last stages people who don't live with the sufferer don't understand how the disease works. Limbaugh is undoubtedly on every advanced medication available. All those meds are doing is prolonging his life The doctors will be more than willing to give him those medications as long as he is getting even the most minor benefit from them. But the day will come, very soon most likely, that they will tell him the same thing they told my mother at the end, "we have nothing else to offer you". He will then have to come to terms with the fact that the end is near. The only drugs they will give him will be morphine or some other narcotics to help alleviate his suffering. He will have good days and bad days for a short while. When there are no more good days they will start the death watch. Then it will go pretty fast. He will probably then start hospice care. If they report that to the media you can count the days before he'll be dead.

It's taking an awfully long time for this cunt to die. Call me when it's dead.

As a former hospice nurse, I can say from experience that the people who live longest are the angry, controlling ones, with lots of unresolved issues.They hold on forever, but it seems it’s their pain they hold in to most. A former hospice RN friend once described this as “existential pain,” pain exacerbated by unresolved personal issues.

What we’re all meant to do is just slide out when the time comes. But these people spend so much energy on demanding, controlling, and anger. I used to ca this a “hard death.” I don’t really wish this on anyone, but I do observe the likelihood in many.

He's at the stage where he could take a sudden turn for the worse today and be dead very quickly. Once that cancer starts attacking his vital organs (heart/lungs/kidneys) one or more of them could start shutting down at any time. Then it's usually only hours before death occurs.

Actually the cancer doesn't even need to attack his heart. As with my mother's cancer, the cancer so weakened her body that one day after a routine procedure to remove fluid from her abdomen her heart just gave out and she fell over dead. They were able to get her heart restarted but when asked if she wanted them to do anything else she shook her head no and she died about 5 minutes later.

No, if its slow they might find a cure. To be safe, I would hope for a quick departure before the holidays.

R131 I'm sorry your mother is slipping away. I know the pain. But, you should know dementia and senility on their own do not kill people. Alzheimer disease does. If your mother is slipping away it's probably because of old age. Our bodies just wear out, some sooner than others. The dementia is just a symptom of age unless a person suffers from some sort of early onset dementia. But if your sweet mother does not suffer from any sort of ailment that causes her pain I would think it's highly possible she will just slip away easily one day.

I hope when my time comes, which at my age probably won't be all that far away in the grand scheme, I can just slip away one day.
