How is she surviving during the pandemic? There’s no tourists around for her to be selling shit out of the trunk of her car. And no one handles cash anymore.

In the early to mid '80s, Angelyne was a ubiquitous fixture we'd see in the clubs or on the streets in her pink corvette, like Cassandra Peterson (Elvira) before she became nationally known.

Here's an interesting interview with a guy that tried to work with Angelyne to do a documentary about her. It gives you an idea what she's really like because he spent some time around her and what he found when he dug into her past on his own.

No big loss if it was. Rossum was miscast and it looks like a total vanity piece version that Angelyne wants out there. Her real story would've been far more interesting.

R14...Good point, but I'm not so sure. Angeline has proven to be a rather dimwitted business woman over the years. Her billboard has become iconic only because it's been there in all of L.A. face for 40 years, not as a result of her shrewd business acumen. Pulling up to a random curb to hassle people to buy t-shirts out of the trunk of her Corvette isn't exactly enterprising. Had Angelyne been a brighter business woman she would have been more organized, aggressive & creative with the licensing of her image & building her brand. She hasn't even been smart enough to surround herself with a team who has her best interests in mind. Had any of this been the case Angelyne could be as recognizable as the Playboy bunny & Bettie Page by now. But that's not the case. So yea, in theory Angelyne & Instagram sound like they were made for each other, but I really don't think she would have been savvy enough to exploit it to her advantage. Not to mention that she could have had more money to afford a much more skilled plastic surgeon.

This one should be at home, making rugelach for her grandchildren, instead of peddling her old carcass on the billboards. It's a shonda, I tell you.

I think Hollywood producers are getting desperate for subject matter if they're actually considering this woman as the focus for a film. The one with Meryl playing that rich socialite who couldn't sing was amusing, but highly forgettable.
