Amy Coney Barret shows bad character and lack of morals by accepting the nomination this close to an election.

She can’t control what a desperate Mitch or Plump do this close to the election, but she didn’t have to accept the nomination.

The moral thing to do would have been for her to defer her acceptance until after the election. To show good faith, trustworthiness and commitment to the country.

Instead, she proves that she is selfish and immoral and doesn’t give a crap about what it best for the country, but only for herself.

by Anonymousreply 44September 29, 2020 5:42 PM

She is a bad person.

by Anonymousreply 1September 28, 2020 4:50 PM

In her mind she believes she IS doing "what it best for the country."

by Anonymousreply 2September 28, 2020 4:51 PM

To her it’s an acceptable means to an ends to her life’s work of building the Kingdom of God. To everyone else it’s what OP said.

by Anonymousreply 3September 28, 2020 4:52 PM

I have a feeling she is into some dark stuff. Nobody gets these handmaiden delusions where they want want all women to be controlled by men. She got like that for a reason. What happened in her murky past?

by Anonymousreply 4September 28, 2020 4:52 PM

Share this on your social media. She is not being called to the carpet for accepting this nom at such an inappropriate time in our country. It’s just wrong.

by Anonymousreply 5September 28, 2020 4:54 PM

Does this lady have no class? Only a terrible person would do this when the country is so divided.

by Anonymousreply 6September 28, 2020 4:55 PM

As far as I’m concerned, this tells us all we need to know about her.

At least Merrick Garland has class.

He was rightfully nominated.

by Anonymousreply 7September 28, 2020 4:55 PM

If I was in the senate, I would refuse to seat her until Garland got his due hearings.

by Anonymousreply 8September 28, 2020 4:56 PM

She will always be considered illegitimate.

by Anonymousreply 9September 28, 2020 5:15 PM

OP, you expressed what was one of the very first things I thought of when her name was announced.

by Anonymousreply 10September 28, 2020 5:20 PM

At first I was mildly impressed with her credentials ,then I got a good look at her . Crazy eyes .

by Anonymousreply 11September 28, 2020 5:26 PM

I hope some Senator quotes what Mitch said verbatim in 2016 if there’s a hearing.

Make that go viral before November

by Anonymousreply 12September 28, 2020 5:28 PM

I saw a letter in the NY Times today about her statement Kingdom of God. Rather than mocking it on religious grounds the writer asked whether the current administration's actions bring us closer to the Kingdom of God. Either way it is entirely creepy statement.

by Anonymousreply 13September 28, 2020 5:28 PM

Rampant homophobia?

by Anonymousreply 14September 28, 2020 5:28 PM

we're getting a little low aren't we? Which one of you wouldn't Jump at the opportunity of a lifetime? I don't want her in and she isn't going to get in but you can't blame her for wanting something that was offered that is so unreachable to almost everyone.

by Anonymousreply 15September 28, 2020 5:30 PM

Of course you can blame her. She is a federal judge. Yet she is acting like an unprofessional, unethical hack.

Anyone with a shred of morals would have deferred the acceptance by one month.

by Anonymousreply 16September 28, 2020 5:31 PM

R15 exactly. However, I would say everyone is up on their moral high horse rather than “getting low”. This is DL where everyone is a paragon of morality and class. 🙄🙄🙄

by Anonymousreply 17September 28, 2020 5:32 PM

She’s just proving herself to be like the rest of the deplorable trash.

by Anonymousreply 18September 28, 2020 5:40 PM

Only deplorables think this normal and acceptable behavior from a federal judge.

by Anonymousreply 19September 28, 2020 5:41 PM

If RBG had stepped down when Democrats were in control of the Senate we would not even be having this discussion. What other profession permits octogenarians suffering from terminal cancer (the same that killed her mother) to keep plugging along as if nothing bad would happen at an inopportune moment? Her hunger for power, prestige, and fame was no different than Amy Coney Barrett's. Nobody reaches the top of an industry--whether law, business, academia, or commercial estate--without being selfish.

The bigger question is why can a single judge so radically alter our country's judicial landscape? Why do we accept that?

by Anonymousreply 20September 28, 2020 5:52 PM

She has crazy religious cult member eyes. Like a Manson girl. She truly believes she is saving the country. Dump is so far from moral and religious but is trying to kick up his religious base. What a monster. He really is the Antichrist.

by Anonymousreply 21September 28, 2020 5:58 PM

Every single woman in this country needs to be fighting her nomination.

If she makes it on the court, they are all doomed!

by Anonymousreply 22September 28, 2020 6:07 PM

This country has gone down the you-know-what..

by Anonymousreply 23September 28, 2020 6:21 PM

Trash

by Anonymousreply 24September 28, 2020 6:32 PM

I want someone in the senate to ask her for the record if she asked her husband for permission to accept this nomination.

by Anonymousreply 25September 28, 2020 7:47 PM

I want Kamala to address:

That Trump called Haiti a shithole country and she adopted two children from there. How will mommy explain that?

How the other professors at Notre Dame hated her and went public about her

by Anonymousreply 26September 28, 2020 8:08 PM

Deplorables have no morals

by Anonymousreply 27September 28, 2020 8:11 PM

In the past, she did say that a Supreme Court justice should not be nominated in an election year. Of course, she changed her mind like all of the Republicans.

by Anonymousreply 28September 28, 2020 8:14 PM

She's a hypocrite and un-American.

by Anonymousreply 29September 28, 2020 8:15 PM

I saw on TV this morning that conservatives are already selling T-shirts with her picture on them with the caption "Notorious ACB." That is just disgusting in my opinion and yet so typical of the right wing today.

by Anonymousreply 30September 28, 2020 8:19 PM

She’s notorious all right.

by Anonymousreply 31September 28, 2020 8:20 PM

It's pretty sad how easy it will be for this woman to make millions of other people's lives miserable by denying them their humanity and breaking them financially should they become ill. Not single handedly, of course, but she and her right wing pals on the court will be a formidable force inflicting harm and cruelty for decadesa, at least three of them in service to their "God".

by Anonymousreply 32September 28, 2020 8:29 PM

The "little girl" voice (from a woman who's almost 50 and post-menopausal) is certainly indicative of some dark shit in her background.

by Anonymousreply 33September 28, 2020 8:32 PM

She thinks she is doing the best thing, tamping down socialism and saving all the unborn babies. In her mind, she’s as saint, or even better, a martyr.

by Anonymousreply 34September 28, 2020 8:40 PM

This confirmation can not happen. The whole world will change overnight.

by Anonymousreply 35September 28, 2020 9:19 PM

The foreign oligarchs who have taken over the US have gotten their senate, their White House and now about to get their SC appointment.

by Anonymousreply 36September 28, 2020 9:20 PM

[quote]In 2016, Obama nominated Judge Myra Selby, a Black woman, to 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. McConnell blocked it. Trump appointed Amy Coney Barrett to Selby’s seat. 7th Circuit is the only all-white circuit in our country. Amy loves sitting in stolen seats. - silverprincess

All of this makes me wonder if they believe everything Repigs do is somehow for a higher cause - as if they can freely break the Constitution and disobey the law because it's on the behalf of a righteous cause.

by Anonymousreply 38September 29, 2020 7:22 AM

Stop it, OP. You're breaking her heart.

by Anonymousreply 39September 29, 2020 7:42 AM

Re her stance on abortion: if we have freedom of religion in this country then why are we allowing judges to foist their anti-abortion religious beliefs onto the nation as a whole? Makes no sense.

by Anonymousreply 40September 29, 2020 10:28 AM

[quote] How the other professors at Notre Dame hated her and went public about her.

Did they? The entire faculty at NDLS signed a letter of support when she was nominated to the 7th Circuit in 2017. I wonder what she’s done since then to make them change their opinion of her.

Isn't being nominated by Trump in itself indicative of bad character and lack of morals?

by Anonymousreply 42September 29, 2020 1:35 PM

She’s a notorious cunt

by Anonymousreply 43September 29, 2020 5:36 PM

She’s obviously shady af or they wouldn’t be nominating her.
