Thanks for that, OP. Is there footage of the eager voters? I need some good news.

I love this. My hairs are on end. Please keep posting.

by Anonymousreply 5September 18, 2020 3:08 PM

R4, that's awesome. Holy fuck.

by Anonymousreply 6September 18, 2020 3:11 PM

Glad healthy enough people aren't taking chances with mail-in voting Wish we could have nice things but Trump is really trying us. I plan to early vote in person. My vote is too important to risk getting tossed in the trash by some Republican postal worker.

by Anonymousreply 7September 18, 2020 3:15 PM

Thank you, R7, for doing that.

by Anonymousreply 8September 18, 2020 3:16 PM

One thing that'd be cool: if people started some kind of effort online to make the lines entertaining. Have someone at key voting sites to have food delivered to, that people can order from everywhere. If people see that waiting in line isn't too bad, and could be fun and yummy...

by Anonymousreply 9September 18, 2020 3:17 PM

R9, that’s a wonderful idea!

by Anonymousreply 10September 18, 2020 3:23 PM

r9 every year-long lines get local restaurants to donate food or someone will order pizzas. This year, not many people will be willing to risk said gestures. But Uber Eats and Door Dash are more popular in 2020 than in 2016 or 2018. I expect a lot of in-line deliveries, lol.

People are fired up and ready to vote this monster out of office.

I dropped my ballot off at the election board office yesterday. I can't believe that I'm having to hand deliver my damn ballot in September, but here we are.

by Anonymousreply 12September 18, 2020 3:26 PM

Indiana here, I received my absentee ballot today will mail it tomorrow, if not later today. Voting straight Democratic Party as usual, not that it will matter much in Indiana.

by Anonymousreply 13September 18, 2020 4:13 PM

Huge lines in Northern Virginia. Historic

by Anonymousreply 14September 18, 2020 4:26 PM

r13 from a Hoosier that dipped out of that state literally the night of my High School graduation, I thank you for holding the line. It matters at the end of the day. If AL can have a Dem senator right now than one day IN can briefly come to their sense. We just need to find another political powerhouse like Obama.

by Anonymousreply 15September 18, 2020 4:38 PM

Of note in NC.

In Ga. it starts Oct. 12. I know the lines the first day will be very long, so I'm planning on spending however many hours it takes to do my part to try to get that fucker gone. I'll have a hard time even waiting to day two.

by Anonymousreply 17September 18, 2020 7:50 PM

Fairfax County has four hour lines to vote. Incredible

by Anonymousreply 18September 18, 2020 7:58 PM

Looks like most are wearing masks, so they're likely Democratic voters.

Facts

by Anonymousreply 20September 18, 2020 8:03 PM

“Today”, is 9/18, FYI.

by Anonymousreply 21September 18, 2020 8:10 PM

MAJOR Victory for voting rights in Michigan today. Court rules that ballots postmarked by 11/2 & received up to 14 days after E-Day to be counted.

Separately, a federal judge on Thursday blocked Michigan’s longstanding ban on transporting voters to the polls. Michigan was the only state where ride-hailing company Uber did not offer discounted rides to the polls on Election Day in November 2018.
