I am! I hope and pray that the losers are displayed onscreen while the winners give their acceptance speeches from their most tasteful rooms.
This is going to be the most awkward awards show ever!

I’m rooting for Jeremy Strong.

It will be a travesty if Miss Angie Dickinson doesn’t win for Police Woman.

The only races I care about are Best Actor and Best Actress in a Comedy Series. Those absolutely should go to Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara.

No red carpet so what's the point?

R4, how about the recognition of excellence, Miss Rivers?

I would like for Olivia Colman to win Best Actress in a Drama Series, because she will be overshadowed this coming season on "The Crown" (for good or bad) by Emma Corrin as Diana, but I think it will likely go to Laura Linney instead.
Colman was so great in the episode where Prince Charles is invested as Prince of Wales. He goads her into saying absolutely awful things to him at the end of the episode--you can tell she regrets saying them, but you also feel she has no other choice, and that she's also really pissed at him too.

"And the winner is Jackée!"
The last time the Emmys excited me.

R7 is not Marla Gibbs.

Who will receive the coveted In Memoriam final spot?

I hope they finally remember Miss Barrie Youngfellow.

^ Obviously it will be Diana Rigg.

The last time I was interested in the Emmys was the year Chicago Hope was up against E.R. for best drama. I was hoping for Chicago Hope. Picket Fences won.
Picket Fences?!?

Not excited and probably won’t be watching.

Picket Fences won Best Drama two years in a row
by Anonymous | reply 16 | September 15, 2020 1:30 PM |
I will be skipping it. The fashion is my only reason for watching.

Actually NYPD Blue won the first year ER and Chicago Hope were nominated. Picket Fences won the two years before that.

Picket Fences was a great show!
by Anonymous | reply 19 | September 15, 2020 3:58 PM |
Nope.

I'm nominated for that Nicole Kidman show. Strange. I didn't even try that hard in that one. Emmys are so easy. You just show up and they nominate you. At least the pandemic has made them virtual. I'd probably have to sit next to Allison Janney or some other TV trash if they were live.
