Daily Mail picks the most cringe inducing quotes in Finding Freedom
Not gonna link because it's a rag. Not going to post all 26 quotes. A sample will illustrate why people hate these two.
Theirs was a love story that took hold in Africa – where now Meghan, on the last day of an incredible three-week stay, stretched her body into the perfect warrior pose. She quietly took in her surroundings from the grounds of their final home away from home on this trip, a modern villa in Livingstone, Zambia, just under ten miles upstream from Victoria Falls. The rising sun washed over her makeshift yoga garden, while an exotic flock of birds that looked as if they had just had their tails dipped in pots of colourful paints serenaded her.’

'Meghan’s willingness to help others and her drive to excel meant she often was deemed "fake" by classmates at school who felt it was impossible for anyone to be that "perfect".
‘A good friend of Meghan’s called her Grace Under Fire, because despite whatever pressure she was under she didn’t fall apart
‘”For her to have been quiet for as long as she had, and then have this really safe space where she could give these heartfelt remarks, it was a really special moment,” the source said. “She spent so many years, whether on campus, on TV, or advocating for women to be empowered, speaking out. And she’s respected that. She does have a lot of respect for tradition, a lot of respect for the family and the institution that she has joined. But it’s just a different way of living. We’d missed hearing her speak.”’... 'That's our Meg. She just connects.'
‘Extremely organized, Meghan immediately impressed Harry with her packing skills. She has always taken pride in being a great packer – going as far as layering dryer sheets in between her clothes to keep them smelling fresh and no matter her destination always bringing tea-tree oil for bites, cuts and pimples – and her skills were appreciated by the prince.'

'The entire event was classic Meghan: simple yet indulgent, fun in a quiet and intimate way – and all meticulously planned. From the time she was a student, juggling school and jobs, through her years grinding out auditions for bit parts, to her becoming a successful TV star who continued to push the boundaries of her career by launching a popular lifestyle website, Meghan always had a plan'
‘Harry is admittedly tough to impress, but he almost froze when he walked into the room and saw Meghan. He knew she was beautiful – he had seen the photos on her Instagram account and online – but she was even more stunning in person. Meghan wasn’t just beautiful. She was also different from women he was used to meeting, and Harry was intimidated by new situations’
‘Meghan, however, threw him off immediately. It wasn’t just her charming freckles, perfect smile, or American accents. Meghan is someone who works a room very well. In social settings, all eyes are drawn to her. She laughs a little louder, glows a little brighter. She’s self-assured in a way that attracts attention.’
‘Harry and Meghan “chatted a lot” that evening which ended chastely with Harry returning to the palace. Still, their chemistry had been electric throughout the meal as they both flirted. A touch of an arm here, direct eye contact there. “Harry knew they would be together at that point,” a friend shared. “She was ticking every box fast”.’

‘Sipping coffee of tea together in the kitchen every morning became a ritual. Then they took turns making breakfast from the organic seasonal produce they ordered from nearby Daylesford Farm or the groceries they had delivered by Waitrose.
‘By not partying like most of her normal college kids. Her friends would never run into Meg, as they called her, at a bar in the middle of the week. Friday nights, when her sorority sisters were all going out to parties, Meg was headed to professors’ houses to babysit.’

The Dailymail is unhinged. They have over twenty articles on their website on the Sussex. My media pals are laughing their asses off at how deranged they look. A lot of the book apparently hints at Brf involvement with media. Both the Brf and the media like the daily mail who are currently being sued don't want that to be the story. So they are blanketing their site with negative stories that they are trying to pass off as humorous. Andrew or his daughters staff and the passing of info to media is also trying to be pushed off the radar. Those articles have also enraged the nutters. Just what is being talked about. Not my personal opinion.

As of two hours ago certain media gossip sites and blogs are being monitored. A poster on skippys blog claimed they had had enough of it all and wanted god to take them. There has been far right supremacist trolls flagged on LSA and every post and threat made is being flagged. The media has set the trolls off to the point of hysteria. And it is being taken very seriously.

It's fist-bitingly cringe. Every. single. line.
She clearly wrote the first draft.
It sounds just like all her other writing.

Hasn't nurse called you over for your meds yet?
Jesus CHRIST you Megstans are THE most unhinged people on the internet, followed closely by the flat-earthers and the Qanon freaks.

Suck it, R8. This is really bad writing and it's funny. I could care less about the DM. It's a pile of crap. However, they pulled some excruciating quotes that beg to be mocked by DL

Somebody at Harper Collins at least pretended to edit it, apparently.

This book sounds like something Joan Crawford would have written about herself. She’s perfect! She even packs her suitcase perfectly! And, of course, she always has her deep faith . . .

Thank you, R 14. I forgot the "God, it's me Meghan" quote.
‘Part of what helped Meghan get through this difficult time was her faith. “Her relationship with God and with the church is extremely important to her,’ a close friend said. “That’s something most people do not know about her”.’
Bonus quote: ‘Jessica and her husband Ben – the eldest son of the former Canadian prime minister Brian Mulroney and the host of the entertainment show eTalk – were the city’s hottest young power couple. She parlayed the brand-name Canadian family she married into and her sense of style into a boutique career as an influencer, stylist, and wedding planner. Her Instagram feed was filled with pictures of domestic perfection – like Jessica with her long, blown-out brown hair, her blue eyes fringed in black lashes, reading a book on the floor with her adorable twin sons, Brian and John, her lean legs crossed and on her feet a pair of sky-high black stilettos.’

[quote] Harry is admittedly tough to impress
Why? Because he is royal crotch-fruit. In fact he is the one who really should make a effort to impress; he doesn't make the effort it seems but if he does it doesn't work. She took him for the dolt he is, $$$ and all. Well done Meghz but you are still both cringeworthy beyond belief.

R17, it’s been rumored that she did, indeed, keep a diary. If you are going to hold grudges, it helps to keep track of every little last thing that offends you.

[quote] Harry is admittedly tough to impress
What did he achieve to make him so tough to impress?

This reads like what I'd guess a John Waters screenplay would read like.

Wait, so Harry is "tough to impress" but in the next paragraph was "intimidated" by meeting Meghan, according to the quote at r3?
Raise your hand if you think Meghan wrote this book.

Seriously, did they really think their involvement in this book wouldn’t be totally obvious? They are not that stupid, are they? What benefit do they hope to gain?

Did Paul Rudnick write this? The man is a genius.
