**BREAKING** CNN just announced Biden has made his pick, and we will get the announcement probably today

At last!

by Anonymousreply 100August 11, 2020 9:02 PM

Why so soon?

by Anonymousreply 1August 11, 2020 6:56 PM

FUCKING FINALLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 2August 11, 2020 7:00 PM

It was expected Wednesday or Thursday at the latest r1. Today would just be a day early.

by Anonymousreply 3August 11, 2020 7:00 PM

Will it be Kamala Harris or Kamala Harris?!

by Anonymousreply 4August 11, 2020 7:01 PM

Place your bets. I think it will be Kamala, although Tammy Duckworth is my fav. But I'm voting for Joe and whomever he chooses no matter what.

by Anonymousreply 5August 11, 2020 7:02 PM

It's Ellen!

She's very popular right now.

by Anonymousreply 6August 11, 2020 7:03 PM

Surprise! It's me!!!!!

Normally the VP pick isn't announced before the convention. I don't see the rush. Are we THAT desperate for immediate gratification?

by Anonymousreply 8August 11, 2020 7:07 PM

It better be a strong, black woman!

by Anonymousreply 9August 11, 2020 7:08 PM

Well the conventions were delayed this year r8. Hillary announced Tim Kaine on July 22nd.

And it was Biden himself who gave himself the deadline that he was going to announce his Veep the first week of August (a deadline he missed)

by Anonymousreply 10August 11, 2020 7:09 PM
Normally the VP pick isn't announced before the convention.

That's not true. Going back to Ferraro at least, all the Dem VP picks have been announced the week before the convention.

by Anonymousreply 11August 11, 2020 7:10 PM

it has to be a black woman, regardless of her qualifications, or else I’ll vote against my own interests and vote Trump.

by Anonymousreply 12August 11, 2020 7:12 PM

If he actually did make the pick, he'll announce it today lest it gets leaked first.

by Anonymousreply 13August 11, 2020 7:16 PM

Biden is making the choice? Doubtful. This choice will be made by the Democratic corporate-run establishment and he'll just announce it.

by Anonymousreply 14August 11, 2020 7:17 PM

I'm getting my California flag as we speak ! Pretty soon you will all bow to us!!!

World domination is just around the corner.

by Anonymousreply 15August 11, 2020 7:23 PM

I hope it's Kamala. I love her.

by Anonymousreply 16August 11, 2020 7:25 PM

I hope it's not Dan Quayle.

by Anonymousreply 17August 11, 2020 7:26 PM

I've spent hours auditioning for the role.

by Anonymousreply 18August 11, 2020 7:27 PM

Apparently in the last day of the convention the speakers will be the following:

[bold]THURSDAY: Joe Biden, [bold]Tammy Duckworth, Kamala Harris[/bold]

It's between these two, isn't it? Oh the suspense and drama.

by Anonymousreply 19August 11, 2020 7:28 PM

Trying to read anything into the convential schedule is silly. They know people would try to do that. They purposefully used misdirection with Tim Kaine with the convention schedule for last cycle.

by Anonymousreply 20August 11, 2020 7:30 PM

What day did Tim Kaine appear?

by Anonymousreply 21August 11, 2020 7:36 PM

What if it's a COMPLETE SURPRISE?

Whoppi Goldberg

by Anonymousreply 22August 11, 2020 7:37 PM

He better not fuck this up!

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 23August 11, 2020 7:39 PM

"Whoppi Goldberg" would indeed be a complete surprise.

by Anonymousreply 24August 11, 2020 7:39 PM

Biden/Streisand 2020

by Anonymousreply 25August 11, 2020 7:39 PM

[R8] Not true. Presidential nominees often announce their choice of running mates in the days and weeks leading up to the nominating conventions. Only twice in modern history have the presidential nominees waited until the conventions to break the news to the public and their parties.

by Anonymousreply 26August 11, 2020 7:40 PM

Ew the DNC lineup doesn’t have Tulsi speaking. The only WOC to receive delegates.

The DNC are such hypocritical cuntboxes. I hope it’s Kam just so I can feel 100% confident in not voting for these jokers. 🥰

by Anonymousreply 27August 11, 2020 7:41 PM

I'm kind of still holding out for Tammy.

by Anonymousreply 28August 11, 2020 7:45 PM

Announcement today.

by Anonymousreply 29August 11, 2020 7:46 PM

^It's the no matter who it is it's a horrible choice, so I'm out, troll. Get ready for the first 20 posts after the decision.

by Anonymousreply 30August 11, 2020 7:46 PM

The VP speaks on Wednesday. The Presidential nominee speaks on Thursday. If Tammy and Kamala are speaking on Thursday, it’s probably not them.

by Anonymousreply 31August 11, 2020 7:49 PM
I've spent hours auditioning for the role.
M

You’re not offer-only, dear? At your age?

by Anonymousreply 32August 11, 2020 7:50 PM

Biden has told Karen Bass it's not her, according to Dana Bash.

by Anonymousreply 33August 11, 2020 7:51 PM

Well it's officially not Karen Bass
Rep. Karen Bass was told by Biden himself that she was not the pick, a source familiar tells CNN.

Republicans will have a field day with Rice. I pray it is anyone but her!!!!

by Anonymousreply 35August 11, 2020 7:53 PM

They'd have a field day with anyone with a vagina and non-white skin. Biden knows what to expect.

by Anonymousreply 36August 11, 2020 7:54 PM

Republicans would love Tulsi!

by Anonymousreply 37August 11, 2020 7:56 PM

One Down!

by Anonymousreply 38August 11, 2020 7:56 PM

My loins are on fire.

by Anonymousreply 39August 11, 2020 7:56 PM

Whoa! It's Selina Meyer!

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 40August 11, 2020 7:59 PM

I'm cool with Duckworth, Harris, or Warren. I'm voting Biden no matter what, but I think Susan Rice would not be a plus for him. That said, I trust his team to make good decisions.

by Anonymousreply 41August 11, 2020 8:05 PM

I've said it before and will say it again. It'll be Florida Senator Val Demmings. :)

by Anonymousreply 42August 11, 2020 8:05 PM

Joe Biden could pick a fucking monkey and I would still vote for him...AND EVERY DAMN ONE OF YOU NEEDS TO SHUT UP AND GET BEHIND WHOEVER IT IS.

by Anonymousreply 43August 11, 2020 8:05 PM

Val Demings alledgedly was spotted this morning buying a new wig. You don't suppose......

by Anonymousreply 44August 11, 2020 8:05 PM

It’s not a done deal till he opens his mouth and says who it is.

by Anonymousreply 45August 11, 2020 8:06 PM

R42, she’s a rep.

by Anonymousreply 46August 11, 2020 8:07 PM

I’d vote for that ticket.

by Anonymousreply 47August 11, 2020 8:08 PM

^r40

by Anonymousreply 48August 11, 2020 8:08 PM

Oh dear!

If you have said it many times r42, you'd think by now you would have learned Val Demmings is not a Senator.

by Anonymousreply 49August 11, 2020 8:09 PM

It's not Governor Whitmer
It’s not Whitmer, Dems tell @katieglueck

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 51August 11, 2020 8:11 PM

r42, it will be odd to keep saying its "Senator Val Demings" after it's revealed to be someone else, but whatever floats your boat.

by Anonymousreply 52August 11, 2020 8:12 PM

He told everyone from the beginning who it will be:

“Biden will select a person who is "totally simpatico" with him philosophically. Still, the former vice president said he wants someone who's also comfortable enough with him to argue with him privately when they disagree. “

Think about who fits that best.

by Anonymousreply 53August 11, 2020 8:12 PM

2 Down!

by Anonymousreply 54August 11, 2020 8:12 PM

If it's not Whitmer then it will be a racial minority. She was the only serious white candidate left at this point.

by Anonymousreply 55August 11, 2020 8:12 PM

Is he faxing them one by one? Snuffing their torches?

"Karen, I'm sorry. Your tour ends here. Now, sashay away."

by Anonymousreply 56August 11, 2020 8:14 PM

Yep r55. It is now safe to say a woman of color is going to be veep.

by Anonymousreply 57August 11, 2020 8:15 PM

Pretty sure the choice is Suzie Rice.

by Anonymousreply 58August 11, 2020 8:15 PM

Somebody get me senator Warren and Harris' schedule, stat.

by Anonymousreply 59August 11, 2020 8:15 PM

It's HARRIS! Confirmed!

by Anonymousreply 60August 11, 2020 8:16 PM

Go fuck yourself Trumptard R27.

by Anonymousreply 61August 11, 2020 8:16 PM

Yashar confirming Harris on twitter

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 62August 11, 2020 8:16 PM

It’s not Stacey Abrams.

CNN is reporting it’s Harris.

by Anonymousreply 63August 11, 2020 8:17 PM

It's' Harris. CBS just broke into Judge Judy.

by Anonymousreply 64August 11, 2020 8:18 PM

Oh wow

by Anonymousreply 65August 11, 2020 8:18 PM

As far as I can tell Yashar was the first person to break this on twitter, though everyone else is confirming now. I don't know how that guy got so well connected.

by Anonymousreply 66August 11, 2020 8:18 PM

Huge sigh of relief! I know people will bitch and moan, but this is really the best choice to make the most people happy. Thank you Biden.

by Anonymousreply 67August 11, 2020 8:19 PM

Well that locks up the California vote!!!

by Anonymousreply 68August 11, 2020 8:19 PM

by Anonymousreply 71August 11, 2020 8:19 PM

Kamala! Damn!

by Anonymousreply 72August 11, 2020 8:19 PM

After all the drama, it was the person who has been the most obvious pick the entire time.

by Anonymousreply 73August 11, 2020 8:20 PM

I am crying tears of happiness. Thank you god.

Fuck you deplorables. You are all going to hell !!!

by Anonymousreply 74August 11, 2020 8:20 PM

Joe Biden's website is already update to show the two of them.

Well, there goes the BernieBro vote.

by Anonymousreply 76August 11, 2020 8:21 PM

Joe Biden @JoeBiden · 3m I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked @KamalaHarris — a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants — as my running mate.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 77August 11, 2020 8:22 PM

OMG. It IS HARRIS...

by Anonymousreply 78August 11, 2020 8:22 PM

Hahah hahahha this bitch!

by Anonymousreply 79August 11, 2020 8:22 PM

Kamala.

Okay let’s do this. Nov 3rd.

by Anonymousreply 80August 11, 2020 8:23 PM

He’s already got 100K likes in 6 minutes.

by Anonymousreply 81August 11, 2020 8:24 PM

Given the realistic options, this is probably the best choice.

by Anonymousreply 82August 11, 2020 8:24 PM

Excellent!

by Anonymousreply 83August 11, 2020 8:25 PM

Many people are saying white men will be offended by this choice. So offended. Many people are saying so. I am hearing so many people.

by Anonymousreply 84August 11, 2020 8:25 PM

Now Sally Yates for Attorney General.

by Anonymousreply 85August 11, 2020 8:26 PM

The Tulsi troll always cracks me up. Great parody ! More please. xo

by Anonymousreply 86August 11, 2020 8:29 PM

the trolls who complained he was taking to long to announce now complained he should wait till after the convention

by Anonymousreply 87August 11, 2020 8:31 PM

Will Gavin Newsom appoint himself to fill her Senate Seat? If not who gets it, Eric Swalwell maybe.

by Anonymousreply 88August 11, 2020 8:32 PM

R85 - I think that position should go to Adam Schiff.

by Anonymousreply 89August 11, 2020 8:34 PM

Maybe they will give it Bass as a conciliation prize.

by Anonymousreply 90August 11, 2020 8:35 PM

Yay Kammie Yay

by Anonymousreply 91August 11, 2020 8:37 PM

R88, I think Garcetti wants the seat.

by Anonymousreply 92August 11, 2020 8:38 PM

Eric Garcetti was in the selection committee. There is no way he doesn't gun for that Senate seat.

by Anonymousreply 93August 11, 2020 8:38 PM

R93, he was so happy when interviewed that Biden made his choice

by Anonymousreply 94August 11, 2020 8:39 PM

I really thought Kamala Harris would hold out for a Supreme Court appointment. Being Vice President is not a shoe in to be the next President.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 95August 11, 2020 8:41 PM

R95, it’s not but she wants to be president and Supreme Court justice is no way to that. Obama for Supreme Court.

by Anonymousreply 96August 11, 2020 8:43 PM
the trolls who complained he was taking to long to announce

Oh, dear!

by Anonymousreply 97August 11, 2020 8:44 PM
Being Vice President is not a shoe in

A shoe in?

You mean a shoo in.

by Anonymousreply 98August 11, 2020 8:46 PM

After Elizabeth Warren, I feel Kamala Harris was the best VP choice.

by Anonymousreply 99August 11, 2020 8:48 PM

I don't particularly care for Senator Harris, and I think Senator Warren was probably more qualified, but Kamala was the best option of those who remained (once Klobuchar was #blm-ed).
