Well?
Tasteful Friends. What Do We Think of this Unique Philly Main Line Abode?

I hate it. Looks like an upscale mobile home. And King of Prussia is a hell-hole.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | August 4, 2020 1:37 PM |
Is it on Gypsy Lane because it looks like a Gypsy caravan?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 4, 2020 1:39 PM |
"And King of Prussia is a hell-hole."
Complete and total bullshit hyperbole.
If it's such a hellhole, why do so many people want to live and work there? The only negative factor (and it is huge factor) is the constant, incessant traffic.

You can gussie đź’„it up all you want, all I can smell is TRAILER!

Cheap and builder grade mcmansion renovation, it could have been better.

$585,000?!?!?! For that???
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 4, 2020 1:48 PM |
It’s never a good sign when the photo series begins with 10 pics of a basic yard, as if they are trying to tire the viewers before they get to the substandard interior.

Double-wide trailer as a second home somewhere.... if it were out of a metro area, in that forest, walking distance to a lake.

Looks like a cheap motel. Actually, the Allenwood Motel in Allentown, Pennsylvania has a bit of vintage charm; OP's looks more like a Baptist camp ground came into a financial legacy and decided to tart up the administrative office.

That leather sectional is an abomination, and oh look, an awkwardly hung TV on the fireplace! I like the big windows, but that's about it.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 4, 2020 2:35 PM |
How do the bedroom ceilings get even LOWER? Are they on a different level?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 4, 2020 2:58 PM |
the best thing about being inside this house is being able to look outside and not seeing this hideous monstrosity blighting the landscape
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 4, 2020 2:59 PM |
looks like a tornado dropped a mobile home on top of a 1950s fallout shelter
by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 4, 2020 3:15 PM |
King of Prussia seemed kind of trashy when I spent a semester teaching at Villanova.

One car garage in wintry Pa. is a deal breaker right off the bat :(
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 4, 2020 3:38 PM |
Why is it all laid out horizontally like that, like a conference center? Also, the kitchen is god awful. Hate the open concept stuff as well. Looks like you're living by the railroad on the wrong side of the tracks. Hard pass.

Outside is gorg! Inside is boring.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 4, 2020 4:47 PM |
It is a shoebox diorama come to life with furniture that must have been purchased at Costco.
Can you imagine the snowdrifts piling up against the glass windows? Misery in the winter.
It is called "Gypsy Lane" because nobody stays.

What is it with US homes and no entryways? Where does one take off one's shoes and coats?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 4, 2020 5:56 PM |
Love it! Tons of living, laughing and loving to be had here!

The final touch would be a "Trump 2020" sign and I'll take it"
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 4, 2020 6:15 PM |
Is that the only approach? The feng shui is terrible - who wants to approach a home on the side like that? The interior isn’t as terrible but man, the exterior is depressing.

It looks perfect.
For its location.

You refer to this disaster that awaits just inside the front door in way too many British and Canadian and Belgian houses (to name a few)?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | August 4, 2020 6:42 PM |
Monstrosity inside and out.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | August 4, 2020 6:50 PM |
Criminal lack of throw pillows.

It reminds me of Twilight. The owners must be vampires.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | August 4, 2020 7:18 PM |
Looks like a rejected set for American Horror Story.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 4, 2020 7:18 PM |
Horrid. The whole place redefines "basic", from the faux-everything furnishings (such as they are) through the laminate flooring to the $1.95 a square ft paneling.
It looks like a picked-over Costco furniture showroom. What someone from a trailer park traded up to when they won $80,000 in the lottery.
Even if the sellers dropped three zeros from the price, it wouldn't be worth it (unless the land it's on is somehow valuable).

A double sink in the bathroom but a single sink in the kitchen? I think not.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | August 4, 2020 7:42 PM |

No! Open! Floorplans! Ever!
by Anonymous | reply 35 | August 4, 2020 8:15 PM |
I'd love it for a quarter of the price. Ain't moving to KoP for THAT
by Anonymous | reply 36 | August 4, 2020 8:25 PM |
King of Prussia is decidedly NOT the Main Line. Main Line adjacent is generous. Like all of King of Prussia a traffic hellhole because the obscene lack of public transit for a huge commercial area and one of the biggest malls in US - but some decent residential areas on fringes.
Just saw this one yesterday. Modern is hard to find in Philly suburbs - so have to appreciate it for that. But the Reno is a little meh - decent, somewhat bland. Not enough to get excited about to inspire a move to KOP with all the millenials who choose to live in suburban corporate apartments next to a mall - rather than in Philly.

The forested lot is enchanting, but the house itself is confusing on every level. Why does the architecture resemble two single-wides laid in tandem? Why do the stairs resemble those of a Motel 6? Why are the floors and finishes so cheap? Why would any sane person pay the asking price? Hard no.

Surprised at all the negative reactions. I like it.
Hard to tell where this dining room is, in relation to the living room / kitchen. Looks like it (dining room) would not get used.
1 car garage does seem insufficient.
