Most rapes are sexual relationships when one doens't stop when the other wanted to stop. And most of the rest are serial rapists (in this case is a mix of power and sexual obsession)

The cases where it's only about the power are very few, but it's quite prevalent on guys who were raped in the military, in those cases humiliation is a big part of the act.

It's quite uncommon than an homophobe (not a closet case with problems to accept his sexual orientation) rape a gay man because there are generally a lot of other ways to humiliate. And in most of those types of rape an object is used to commit the act (which is quite common on hazings that go too far). In those cases the agressor rarely thing that what he did is a rape
