[quote]"It's a weird business, the film business," says Shuler Donner. "We honor creativity and talent and we forgive the brilliant ones. Unconsciously, we probably do enable them by turning a blind eye to whatever they're doing and taking their product and putting it out to the world."

This is what I don't get -- there is nothing "brilliant" about Singer's first X-Men. It's serviceable. Treating the subject matter seriously and emphasizing the "otherness" of the mutants (and analogizing it to societal treatment of gays) was rather revolutionary for a film treatment, but it was right there in the comic book.

The only reason the producers brought him back, in spite of his wretched behavior, is that the films made money. But the truth is, any non-hack director could have taken up the mantle and probably done a better job.

Not a single mention of Tye Sheridan in that article. Odd.

It's odd as well the article fails to talk about Collins Rector conviction as a pedophile, his arrest in Spain and his status as a fugitive. It seems like some pedos are really protected.

r4, how is he protected? He's not famous, so no one cares

He's kinda cute isn't he?

by Anonymousreply 6August 1, 2020 2:22 AM

His features are just fine (when he's thin), but those dead eyes put me off every time.

by Anonymousreply 7August 1, 2020 2:34 AM

He was kinda cute when he was younger and thinner, now he just looks weird and puffy

R3 Tye just really really really wanted to meet James Marsden, ok?

R9: PS: I'd really like to suck you off sometime, Mr Marsden. Mr Singer says I'm really good!
