In all seriousness, who can blame them? They were from far-flung areas and may have spent most of their lives without the company of other little people. Suddenly they are in a situation where there are dozens of others like themselves, and they've formed a community. Makes perfect sense that they'd want (possibly for the first time in their lives) to get laid.
