Let’s swap collecting & embarrassing eBay stories!

When I was 18 (1996), I loved Tori Amos (still do) and eBay came along, and I found...a Tori Amos Kellogg’s Cornflakes box! Yes, the genuine article used to promote her Cornflake Girl single in 1994!

I won it for about $70 and was so excited until I got it and thought, what the fuck did I just do? I immediately relisted it and it sold for $150! Quite the tidy profit.

This was an early lesson for me that I can love musicians without buying crap merchandise associated with that musician. I haven’t been into memorabilia since then.

However, at age 23 I did bid on and “win” a green Mitsubishi Eclipse on eBay. That was my last eBay purchase.
