Jones has the problem a lot of gay men have: caring about others. A lot of gay men tend to feel like stewarts of the broader LGBT community, unaware of the extent to which many on the not gay men in that community hate them. Jones' politics are more about what he believes is good for the world in general, not gay men specifically.
