Dear gays, stop it.
It works with some skin tones and looks terrible on others, like the one in OP's pic.
I think frosted tips are heinous.

He really thinks that looks good on him, doesn't he?

R1 I'd say very few men look good bleached blond. But every summer...
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 27, 2020 4:28 AM |
Blonde, in the appropriate tones, can be very flattering and forgiving.
But that is on a tiny percentage of people. And the rest look like this guy.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 27, 2020 4:33 AM |
I never go completely blonde, but I do lighten my hair with Sun-in every summer. It works for me because I have naturally brown hair with blonde and red undertones.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 27, 2020 4:37 AM |
Do you like my blonde hair? I look so masculine with it and even have a porn star now as boyfriend.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 27, 2020 4:44 AM |
Oh jeez, those are awful.

They're all going through a mental crisis.

I've noticed that quite a few female celebrities dye their hair blonde as they get older and age - and it really doesn't suit them. It's not their natural color, looks off kilter on them, and ends up looking like a desperate ploy to hang on to their youth.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 27, 2020 5:08 AM |
^You don't see the roots with blonde hair. With your natural hair color, you have to color your hair every two weeks. Or if you don't want anyone to see you have grey hair, even every week. My brother's gf has natural blonde hair and you hardly notice she already has some grey hair.

In any other year I would agree with you OP but right now let them have a little fun.

R9 Kirstie was lovely as a brunette - but looks like a pig wearing a blonde wig. As though it's going to help her

Queens gonna queen.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 27, 2020 5:35 AM |
Maybe it's because we're far more used to it in women but it's so much worse in men
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 27, 2020 6:07 AM |
I remember when this was a thing with teen/young adult guys in the mid to late 90s. Socks with sliders is back in style so I guess this look is too.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 27, 2020 6:18 AM |
To be fair, straight guys commit egregious hair crimes sometimes.

I began using sea salt beach waves hair spray a few years ago, just for the texture (since my hair is slightly wavy). I started with John Frieda, switched to Not Your Mother's, and have even bought some at Big Lots that works just the same. I had no clue it would lighten my hair, and it was very subtle at first. Now it brings out my natural highlights, but very, very subtly. It also hides my greys, so it's a win-win. And it's not damaging like other peroxide products...if I don't use it for a few days, the highlights get washed out and my hair looks mousy brown again. As soon as I use the spray again, the highlights come back out.

The photo posted by OP is a cry for help. No well-adjusted person would post such an image on Instagram or be seen like that in public.

Blonde = female
Blond = male
Some people here need to stop being ignorant.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 27, 2020 7:21 AM |
'Cause I'm a blond!
B-L-I-N-D!
Don't you wish you were me?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 27, 2020 7:33 AM |
I say let others fuck up their own hair, however they see fit. ESPECIALLY gay men! I'm sure many think I ought to be grey, yet I dabble in the haircolour.

R13. Well. Kirstie is a pig.

OP, don't hate me because I'm beautiful.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 15, 2020 4:23 AM |
Who cares? Maybe they are nice people, or motivated for some good sex? Maybe they are good lovers? The guy in OP's pic knows he's not a stud. He's just having some fun with his look. Lighten up, folks. (as it were)

I’ve always thought my boyfriend would look HOT with bleached hair, but he’s worried his hair is thinning and afraid to make it worse. Boo.

R28 -- Back in my days as an English major (!) I was mildly shocked that a young and serious poetess like Sylvia Plath (from a nice preppy background, no less) bleached her hair platinum blonde, back in the mid-50s. It seemed so Hollywood sex bombshell of her.
I know hair coloring was becoming more popular in that era, but (according to my parents) there was definitely a stigma attached, at least in the Northeast. And it doesn't suggest "New York Review of Books" to me.

R3 No one ever really looks good in bleached blond hair. I agree with other folks here, in that other blond tones can be attractive, depending on an individual's skin tone. But this really does need to die. I didn't like it twenty years ago, and I don't like it now.
