Madison Cawthorn
Interesting candidate running for a seat in Congress, representing North Carolina.
He's a 24 year old Republican who ran against and recently beat Trump's "pick" in the North Carolina primary.
Madison is very handsome, and I didn't realize he was in a wheelchair, having been paralyzed in a car accident when a friend who was driving, fell asleep at the wheel.
Though I don't support his views, he does have an interesting story.
If he wins, he could be the youngest person ever in U.S. history to be sworn in as a Congressman.

I don't know if this person is a friend of his (or former friend), but she absolutely rips him apart in this post on his Instagram page:
[quote] kendra.robs Madison, remember this in November You overcame a lot and for what? To be a self-righteous jerk? To call future constituents ‘transplants’ and rally on about anchor babies in your Town Halls? You’re too sheltered. I wish that the accident hadn’t happen so that you could have gone to school and experienced life maybe you wouldn’t be so close minded and bent on sounding like a Trump puppet. The world is changing get used to it. It ain’t Illegals taking jobs it’s automation. People don’t want to hear about faith and God from hypocrites. You have to bring people in- doesn’t mean you agree with everything but you don’t know how to do that. Your campaign and town halls are all weak and cringey. Don’t be upset in June or November. Don’t look at it as socialism is taking over. Learn. Move on and get married and hopefully your children will not learn to live and talk like we’re still in the 1950s.
Ouch!

I wonder if he would be willing to work with AOC, who is currently the youngest person serving in Congress?
Surely, they must have something in common.

Wow, people are just coming for him.
I guess he ate at a place called Nusr-Et Steakhouse in Miami, and someone posted this comment:
[quote] david_rhode I’m sorry but I just can’t help but speak out. That man has gladly served dictators who starve their own people. Namely, Nicholas Maduro of Venezuela. I wouldn’t patronize the business of someone who willing does business with a murderer and thief.
He's not getting one single pass.

A paraplegic is a "Constitutional Conservative"? There is no ADA in the Constitution or any protection of Americans with disabilities. A 25 year old paraplegic whose life has been made easier and livable by Democrats in Congress fails to recognize that his Republican colleagues -- for all their pro-life bullshit -- believe he should be euthanized.

R14 that is an amazing point.
I wish someone would make it known to him at one of his town hall meetings or rallies.
It's very interesting how someone on his Instagram (the link at R1 with the girl replying to his Instagram post) called his live appearances "cringey."
I wonder what he says and does that makes him so cringey?

Americans need to stop this thing where they sanction a country until it can't trade with anyone else, but then blame the country itself for starving.
The Chavistas have a terrific record in reducing poverty and therefore starvation in Venezuela. It's American sanctions which are reversing that. Many dictators care about not starving their peoples because they need stability in order to keep their hold on power. Americans,on the other hand, don't care two shits about not starving other countries, especially Third Worlders. Heck, if it's an enemy country, they'll gladly do it, as many US State Dept and military officials admitted in the case of Iraqi civilians.

No, she actually had to work to help support her family. She's had real jobs - for which the "pull up your own bootstraps" crowd mock her. He had an accident and still manages not to have empathy for others and he was homeschooled, so exposed to nothing beyond his insular world.

[quote] Read or watch interviews that he’s given to conservative outlets, and it becomes clear that he seems himself squarely in the Ted Cruz, Tom Cotton wing of the Republican party. During his lengthy interview with Charlie Kirk, Cawthorn spoke freely about what he believes. Feminists, whom he mistakenly seems to believe have achieved pay parity with men, are now going too far. “You have this third wave feminism that comes in that says, ‘No, we don’t want to be equal to men, we want to be greater than men at this point, we want to put them down.’” The Black Lives Matter movement, he told Kirk, has been “hijacked by Marxists.” The LGBT movement, he asserted, used to be “just two people who want to be able to get married.” But trans rights are a step too far for Cawthorn. “Now it’s saying we need to be able to have gender reassignment surgery for 12-year-olds,” he warned. And that was just in the first 15 minutes. On every issue from abortion to immigration to civil rights, Cawthorn picked the most far-right position one could feasibly take without being labeled an obvious white supremacist. He called Roe v. Wade an “archaic ruling,” and described abortion as “murder” and “genocide.”

That OP finds the pictured Hitler Youth "interesting" would account for the drop in quality in DL posts in recent years.
He's not interesting. He's a young fascist trotting out the same lines every generation of fascists has for centuries.
He's aesthetically pleasing, which is why he's received any attention at all. Those looks will fade but the hideous creature underneath will stay the same.

Surprisingly, the glib one sentence proclamations of a geriatric Datalounger like R27 hold little weight compared with the actual statutes concerning the Age of Candidacy, which he will have met.
The ONE disqualifying factor he could summon against this neo-fascist is that, in his opinion, he's too young to legislate.
Of course R27 is the first to shriek "AGEISM!" when it's pointed out that other antiquities like himself passing pernicious legislation and policy that will have dire consequences for subsequent generations is unbalanced.
