I think The Donner Party or something about The Oregon Trail would be tremendous. Watching him try to make pioneer women fierce and glamorous, as well as trying to insert twinks and gay content among the strife would be hilarious. Either would make an 8 episode series that would completely go off the rails in episode 5, ending with a black woman lecturing all of us on homophobia and racism. Played by Gabby S.

[R19] I know you're being humorous but you've hit the nail on the head as to why Ryan Murphy is uniquely awful. He subverts the truth of whatever subject matter he's depicting to to conform and pander to whatever woke, trendy, nonsense notions are blowing around in the zeitgeist. This wouldn't be as much of a problem if he stuck to original, contemporary content but he believes himself to be an auteur with a great command of arts and culture - which he definitely is not. I couldn't watch 5 minutes of FEUD for this reason. He didn't understand the characters, their mindset, the world that produced them or how they actually approached their lives. Corny woke feminism was more important to him than Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. I hope he rots in hell because he ruined a truly great idea - the DIVINE FEUD book by Shaun Considine made the rounds of Hollywood for years and people like Diana Rigg were interested. He turned out a travesty that should have been a hilarious and fascinating entertainment. He's a fucking Barbarian.

That said, after the meh first few episodes of Dirty John: Betty Broderick, he needs to do OUR BETTY justice with the Bella Stumbo book.

OK,OK. I think I have struck GOLD!!!!! The death of Dorothy Kilgallen. Yes! Now that ought to be like, absolute gold. She pissed off a lot of people, and she was having an affair with Johnny Raye who was insane and he was also closeted Gay. And she stumbled on some dirt related to the Kennedy assassination and everyone believes she was murdered. So you have glamour, you have celebrities galore, and you have a suspicious death.
OR : Speaking of the Kennedy assassination, how about doing something on the death of Marilyn Monroe? Now that would sizzle.

Go on You Tube and search for Johnny Ray. I'm telling you he was all the rage back then. I've linked to one of his more popular ditties. Cry.
He had some other tune he used to sing where he would actually break down and cry on TV. Ed Sullivan,I'm told, just love it. Ray was nuts. Certifiable. I think he was an alcoholic and a pill popper and he was very high maintenance. I discovered him when I read a biography of Kilgallen.

Bette Midler's time performing at the Continental Baths. Seriously, I think he could do a great job weaving fact and fiction to put together a good show about the 70s and anchor it around the bathhouses

OMG, the best story for him to do would be Jean Harlow. So tragic. And Paul Burn her closeted Gay husband. Even to this day, that Carroll Baker movie Harlow is still one of my favorites.

Who would play the gay black butler from the William Desmond Taylor case? The police took him to a graveyard and had people dressed as ghosts to try to spook him into a confession, because they had a stereotype that black people were superstitious or something.
Billy Porter, probably.

He should turn The Mommie Dearest Diaries by Rutanya Alda into a series.
I read it and Faye didn't come off that bad - Rutanya came off as a complainer.
Yes, Rutanya, Faye didn't stay to stand in for your scenes and sometimes she was late BECAUSE SHE HAD A NEWBORN INFANT AT HOME.
Ever heard of priorities Alda?
