Just like with Covid, does every business HAVE to email me about their stance on the Floyd murder???

STOP the emails!

by Anonymousreply 38June 6, 2020 5:22 PM

But I NEED to know how Petsmart plans to eradicate systematic racism!

by Anonymousreply 1June 4, 2020 6:04 PM

Isn’t it interesting though how they all talk about black people and racism in their emails like an abstract thing.

Not one email that I’ve received has actually addressed black people. They all just talk about having to do better, somehow, someday.

[quote] does every business HAVE to email me about their stance on the Floyd murder

It turns out that most of the businesses are against Floyd's murder.

by Anonymousreply 5June 4, 2020 6:13 PM

We sanctimoniously weigh in here at [fill in name of corporation here] to let our underpaid and exploited "associates", our ignored and disrespected clients, and our "family" of shareholders that we all need to have a serious conversation about systemic racism this week, while we secretly pray that rain and thunderstorm activity drive all the animals back into their lairs and our share prices rebound.

I am sort of looking forward to the Murder Hornets to see how the companies manage to come up a pr response to them.

by Anonymousreply 7June 4, 2020 6:18 PM

In these uncertain times of deadly insect invasions...

by Anonymousreply 8June 4, 2020 6:19 PM

It certainly says something.

by Anonymousreply 9June 4, 2020 6:20 PM

Everyone has forgotten about the Murder Hornets, R7.

by Anonymousreply 10June 4, 2020 6:20 PM

R7 It's an oil spill in the Arctic circle now, keep up please.

by Anonymousreply 11June 4, 2020 6:21 PM

r5 How about a SPOILER ALERT next time, huh?

Did businesses send out e-mails or press releases like this after 9/11? I'm assuming they did.

by Anonymousreply 14June 4, 2020 8:16 PM

It's horrible that they might interrupt your busy day of surfing Meghan Markle threads, porn, porn, porn and your midday Taco Bell feeding(s) with such inconsiderate nonsense, OP!

WHEN WILL THE TEARS END?????

by Anonymousreply 15June 4, 2020 8:18 PM

If corporate America buys into opposing police violence, even in a tepid way, that matters. That marks it as the majority position.

[quote] If corporate America buys into opposing police violence, even in a tepid way, that matters.

But it seems like they've only now just discovered that racism and police brutality exist.

by Anonymousreply 17June 4, 2020 9:47 PM

It's just another form of advertising

by Anonymousreply 18June 4, 2020 9:47 PM

It's amazing that online stores that I last bought something from over a decade ago still have my info and email me.

by Anonymousreply 19June 4, 2020 9:49 PM

Virtue signaling is the new black.

by Anonymousreply 20June 4, 2020 9:52 PM

Our company has an East Indian CEO and he mentioned Floyd and 2 other black people who died as a result of the police. I wonder why he only mentioned 3.

by Anonymousreply 22June 4, 2020 10:05 PM

I got an email from a local jewelry store that it will donate 10% of every purchase to NAACP.

I rolled my eyes

by Anonymousreply 23June 4, 2020 10:07 PM

Three is a good number for recall

by Anonymousreply 24June 4, 2020 10:31 PM

[quote] Our company has an East Indian CEO

What's his ethnicity have to do with anything.

I don't start my sentences with "Our company had a white CEO..."

by Anonymousreply 25June 4, 2020 10:32 PM

[quote] It's amazing that online stores that I last bought something from over a decade ago still have my info and email me.

I got an email when the virus hit from a company I last made a purchase from in two thousand and fucking SIX.

by Anonymousreply 26June 4, 2020 10:46 PM

I'm sorry his murder was a tragedy but I'm so sick of hearing about this guy.

by Anonymousreply 27June 4, 2020 10:49 PM

But this is America. Anything and everything is simply another marketing opportunity.

by Anonymousreply 28June 4, 2020 10:55 PM

In these unprecedented times, we are in this together.

by Anonymousreply 29June 4, 2020 11:36 PM

Bravo, r6.

by Anonymousreply 30June 4, 2020 11:58 PM

Does this mean they’ll stop profiling. all their black customers as shoplifters?

by Anonymousreply 31June 5, 2020 12:04 AM

I love cunts like you OP. Your right tho.

by Anonymousreply 32June 5, 2020 1:42 AM

You think that's bad? How about the daily sensitivity Zoom meetings at work where people try to think of nice things to say with a dash of white guilt? One meeting, I get it, but every day is a bit much. It must be cringey for black people after a while.

[quote]I'm sorry his murder was a tragedy but I'm so sick of hearing about this guy.

Miss me now?

by Anonymousreply 34June 5, 2020 3:19 AM

R32, but you’re not right at all.

by Anonymousreply 35June 5, 2020 3:25 AM

I really wish we were saying LGBT lives matter and having LGBT riots right now.

by Anonymousreply 36June 5, 2020 2:52 PM

I was waiting breathlessly to see what Barnes and Noble thought about racism. Thank god they are against it!

by Anonymousreply 37June 5, 2020 3:54 PM
