I'm moving across the country. I'm going to fly and have a carrier ship my car to my new city. I want to drive my car to the airport, park it in long term parking and hire the carrier to pick it up from the airport and deliver it to me in my new city. I've been receiving quotes, but one company said no carriers will pick up your car from the airport, that the other companies who have given me quotes are lying. He said I need to go to a hotel near the airport for them to pick up my car. Advice please...

Hotel
How would they pay to get your car out of the airport?

R1, have you seen those giant open trailers on the road stacked with two rows of cars? They would drive it onto the truck and exit the airport and pay -I don't know- seven dollars or so for however long it took to hook it up.

OP, it probably has to do with the logistics of getting one of those giant open trailers into an airport parking lot.
When I moved cross-country last year, I had to meet the giant open trailer guy in the parking lot of a nearby Walgreens because the truck couldn't fit to turn around on my street.
This is the company I used. The quote was cheaper than I expected and the car actually got there two days early. I was pleased with them.
