I'm watching NOS4A2 and I think Locke and Key is based on one of his graphic novels. Any opinions?
Anyone read any Joe Hill?

Heart-Shaped Box was a fun, spooky read. I recommend it.

The Locke & Key series is so much better than the watered-down show.

Without knowing much about him or his writing, a question -- actual writing talent or nepotism?

Talent.
Given his not using his actual last name (unlike his brother), I had no idea who his father was when I started reading Locke & Key.

R4, thanks. I'll check some of his stuff out.

Yes the comic book series is superior to the television. But keep in mind they've tried to do it a couple of times. Apparently the original pilot is floating around the interwebs.

I love his songs, I had no idea he wrote books too.

Yeah, there have been two other false starts. I saw the one they did for Fox, where Jesse McCartney is Tyler and Miranda Otto is the mom, and liked it. Better than the Netflix series, in fact.
The version that Hulu passed on probably wasn't all that different. It was from the same people, even though the only cast member in common was the kid who plays Bode.
