Marty sounds hellbent on proving it's not just Eye-talians who are thugs. Do we really need more of this shit, De Niro sleepwalking through a role for a paycheck, Leo playing Leo. Dude is out of ideas.

Him, Eastwood, Woody Allen... need to retire to the Hollywood Forever Retirement Village.

Leo does so much better with Tarantino. He has two great performances with him. Scorsese-does he do anything else but gangster movies? And unlike Hitchcock he has no design- no point. And DeNiro- who was having a nice little come back, was as exciting as dirt in " The Irishman". Americans are so attracted to crime and violence.

Scorsese made the Aviator with DiCaprio, Kundun, the Last Waltz, the Age of Innocence and New York, New York, r5. Are moneymen willing to back him on anything now that isn't a gangster movie or that doesn't star DiCaprio?

I bought the book but didn’t finish it.
