Joe Rogan: "Social Distancing is for Dorks".

First, Obamagate and now this. "Social distancing is for dorks". You know we are living in shitty times when someone like Rogan is considered "intellectual" by millions of people out there. Millions of people across the country take this dude's opinion seriously. He and Donald would be great friends.

Joe Rogan is only an "intellectual" in the eyes of his young, white, male alt-right audience. He's nothing but a baby Rush Limbaugh.

by Anonymousreply 1June 14, 2020 6:51 AM

Social distancing is necessary life/death measure.....for everybody except the rioters.

by Anonymousreply 2June 14, 2020 6:57 AM

He has always been a complete idiot.

by Anonymousreply 3June 14, 2020 7:02 AM

Cancel this propagandist.

by Anonymousreply 4June 14, 2020 7:06 AM

This guy is 55 years old. Hardly a baby.

by Anonymousreply 5June 14, 2020 7:07 AM

I hope everyone that says shit like this and thinks they’re invincible gets coronavirus to teach them a lesson.

by Anonymousreply 6June 14, 2020 7:13 AM

He is in the high risk group given his advanced age. He needs to show respect for his fellow seniors.

by Anonymousreply 7June 14, 2020 7:15 AM

I can't take him seriously bc he's a bald dude with a voice of a prepubescent boy whose balls have yet to drop.

by Anonymousreply 8June 14, 2020 7:18 AM

What radio station is endangering lives by broadcasting this garbage?

Or what exchanges are hosting this dangerous podcast? They can be held liable too for spreading dangerous and false information. They need to disclose a warning at least.

Lots of vulnerable fools listen to this crap and believe it. They are going to get sick.

by Anonymousreply 9June 14, 2020 7:45 AM

Nobody I know takes this guy seriously or even listens to his podcast. It's only Datalounge where that guy gets mentioned now and then.

I assume his fans are of the trailer trash incel variety?

by Anonymousreply 10June 14, 2020 7:47 AM

How much you wanna bet he says shit like this but will never do anything to ever endanger his own health. Like the Orange Fuhrer he encourages the deplorables to go out there and "make Trump look good" by not wearing masks or social distancing, yet his ass will be sure to stay inside where it's safe and sound. Fuck him.

by Anonymousreply 11June 14, 2020 7:49 AM

Straight dudes look up to him.

by Anonymousreply 12June 14, 2020 8:02 AM

He whined that his show was "just entertainment", when sued over his constant denial that Sandy Hook happened.

by Anonymousreply 13June 14, 2020 8:06 AM

He knows his audience and is just pandering now.

by Anonymousreply 14June 14, 2020 8:07 AM

Okay, but listen to the moron critiquing him. Says beaches are dangerous places to be because they, and all bodies of water, are breeding grounds for covid. Uh what?

by Anonymousreply 15June 14, 2020 8:11 AM

Joe Rogan is taking his podcast exclusively to Spotify Technology in a licensing deal worth more than $100 million,

Joe Rogan Is the New Mainstream Media

According to The Wall Street Journal, the deal could amount to more than $100 million, a number that Rogan doesn’t want to discuss. “It feels gross,” he told me Thursday night. “Especially right now, when people can’t work.”

News of Tuesday’s deal, which gave Spotify exclusive rights to “The Joe Rogan Experience,” sent the company’s stock soaring: It added $1.7 billion to its market cap in 23 minutes. The musician and critic Ted Gioia pointed out on Twitter that “a musician would need to generate 23 billion streams on Spotify to earn what they’re paying Joe Rogan for his podcast rights.”

Rogan’s deal comes while the mainstream press founders; the pandemic has cut the legs out from under many publications. Every day it seems another blue check mark with a degree from the right college hangs up her pixelated-shingle, while the rest of us avert our eyes, hoping we won’t be next.

The timing of Rogan’s rise and the Old Guard’s disintegration is not coincidental. His success was made possible, at least in part, by legacy media’s blind spots.

“The Joe Rogan Experience” has 190 million downloads a month.

Man makes show, show gets rightly popular because man is entertaining and good with the format, man invites interesting guests from outside the mainstream, show gets more popular, man gets more money, show becomes self propelling loop of repeat guests, man loses edge, show becomes the mainstream, rinse and repeat.

by Anonymousreply 17June 14, 2020 8:38 AM

Nice try to push this loser on us, shills.

If you have to repeat over and over how huge and popular this guy is ... it reeks of desperation.

by Anonymousreply 18June 14, 2020 8:51 AM

I don't want to bother with listening to this Dunning Kruger Podcast. I have enough of this in real life already.

by Anonymousreply 19June 14, 2020 9:28 AM

Hasn't aged well. Was hawt when younger. Only thing gays need to know about him.

by Anonymousreply 20June 14, 2020 9:32 AM

Isn't this asshole from canada? Why is he budding his large ugly head in our countries business? Go back to canada ugly freak.

by Anonymousreply 21June 14, 2020 9:35 AM

Another foreigner that think they know what’s best for America?

This is getting tired.

Spotify can be sued if they let him broadcast this dangerous propaganda and people believe it. That is technically fraud. Since he claims to be an expert.

by Anonymousreply 22June 14, 2020 3:44 PM

Does Spotify really want to dabble in the right wing at this point in history? Do they really want to be on the wrong side?

Everyone should tweet them and tell them to reconsider. Who needs this divisive and insidious propaganda to be floated upon vulnerable young men?

This is how ISIS operates.

by Anonymousreply 23June 14, 2020 3:47 PM

R13, Joe Rogan is a Hooker? Dear Lord, he's even more loathsome than I thought.

by Anonymousreply 24June 14, 2020 3:50 PM

First, Joe is from Jersey. Second, has anyone actually seen him do standup? I know he exposed Mencia.

by Anonymousreply 25June 14, 2020 3:52 PM

Rogan has become totally unhinged. More and more with each passing year.

Why does anyone pay any attention to anything he says?

by Anonymousreply 26June 14, 2020 3:53 PM

He speaks for most White dudes

by Anonymousreply 27June 14, 2020 3:54 PM

I’m not suprised he’s been sued before.

Spotify is asking for trouble.

Especially in this environment.

by Anonymousreply 28June 14, 2020 3:54 PM

BLM should target these hate centers. It’s all pushed out of a few places.

by Anonymousreply 29June 14, 2020 3:55 PM

He's the same ilk as Jordan Peterson: a grifter who discovered that undereducated aimless straight young white "dudes" are disgruntled with the modern world that's quickly passing them by. While they were sitting on their lazy asses in mom and dad's basement, playing video games and jerking off to Pornhub videos, Sanjay and Wei Zheng were busy learning advanced math and machine learning landing places in prestigious universities and hi-tech jobs after that. You know, it's "multiculturalism", "cultural Marxism" and " radical feminism" that are holding them back... It's a vast army of sheep looking for some "guru" to explain to them why there is a vast global conspiracy to keep them down.

by Anonymousreply 30June 14, 2020 4:09 PM

Like I would care what this chode has to say.

by Anonymousreply 31June 14, 2020 4:12 PM

His obsession with this macho hard-assed straight guy persona just reminds me of the rumors that he's gay.

by Anonymousreply 32June 14, 2020 4:50 PM

R9, he now has a multi-million dollar deal with Spotify. America pays its "intellectuals" so well!

by Anonymousreply 33June 14, 2020 6:35 PM

It's not a coincidence this shining intellectual has also backed Bernie Sanders.

by Anonymousreply 34June 14, 2020 6:36 PM

Amen r30. I have never met anyone who listens to Joe Rogan or Jordan Kermitvoice who had an IQ higher than 80. They are stupid stupid people who appeal to other stupid stupid people.

by Anonymousreply 35June 14, 2020 9:19 PM

"Social distancing is for dorks"...who will inherit the earth.

by Anonymousreply 36June 14, 2020 9:44 PM

He's "smart" only for the breed of halfwitted fuckwit who thinks about and posts about sports 23 hours a day, only taking time out from THAT to date rape young women or be that asshole that sits in the back of the class, making fun of everyone else to make himself feel better.

They are a penny a hundred.....more common than flies on shit and a hundred times as annoying.

by Anonymousreply 37June 14, 2020 9:49 PM

I don't have Spotify. I don't even know how it works. So I hope this means I won't get to see any of his content posted on my feeds.

by Anonymousreply 38June 15, 2020 8:30 PM

As a fellow testosterone replacement therapy head shaving douchebag, I’m a big fan of Joe

Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 are soaring in Harris County which is the home of Houston. So this stupid asshole is going to get people killed. Literally killed. And the doctor in charge of the COVID-19 patients in a Houston hospital is saying that the majority of the hospitalizations are people in their 30s and 40s.

by Anonymousreply 41June 15, 2020 8:45 PM

Didn't guys on DL many years ago say that Rogan used to cruise the Fens in Boston back in the day?

by Anonymousreply 42June 15, 2020 8:50 PM

Enjoy your hospitalization, Joe Rogaine.

by Anonymousreply 43June 15, 2020 8:51 PM

He’s not wrong.

by Anonymousreply 44June 15, 2020 8:52 PM

by Anonymousreply 45June 15, 2020 8:54 PM

by Anonymousreply 47June 15, 2020 9:02 PM

Joe does some good interviews about some offbeat topics with some offbeat people. He doesn't have a clue about actual politics, but I still enjoy about 10 percent of his shows.

by Anonymousreply 48June 15, 2020 9:02 PM

Someone needs to take this prop from the Fear Factor set to Joe's new set to flush out all the shit Joe's been spewing lately.

by Anonymousreply 50June 15, 2020 9:06 PM

I do suspect he is making a very bad miscalculation, hopping on the Trump Train just when it's about to crash into the mountain.

by Anonymousreply 51June 15, 2020 9:06 PM

He’s a classic contrarian. He’s laughable.

by Anonymousreply 52June 15, 2020 9:08 PM

Contrarians can definitely be useful. The line when you cross over into crank is always an issue though.

by Anonymousreply 53June 15, 2020 9:14 PM

The Kardashians also make an insane amount of money. Lori Loughlin's daughter was making a couple mil a year being an "influencer."

You think Noam Chomsky is worth what the Kardashians are worth? Nope.

This guy is a tool making money off of idiots who aren't deep-thinkers.

[quote] Nice try to push this loser on us, shills. If you have to repeat over and over how huge and popular this guy is ... it reeks of desperation.

You are out of touch. Go to the iTunes podcast top ten. He is always there, sometimes at #1, frequently with more than one episode listed.

To me, he will always be the meathead asking people if they want to take the money or eat some donkey balls for a shot at the big prize.

by Anonymousreply 55June 15, 2020 9:43 PM

No, OP, Joe Rogan is for dorks.

by Anonymousreply 56June 15, 2020 9:44 PM

Sorry, but the youtube commentator is an idiot too. Beaches and water itself is not a "breeding ground" for "coroni". Sure, they shouldn't be packed but beaches are an ideal place to spread out and enjoy the outdoors safely.

by Anonymousreply 57June 15, 2020 9:48 PM

[quote] Who the hell takes advice from the guy who hosted Fear Factor?

Many people. The same kind of people who listen to Ben Shapiro to find out what the "real news" is.

by Anonymousreply 58June 15, 2020 11:05 PM

R58 again who the hell cares. Rush Limbaugh and Fox News get millions and millions of listeners and viewers. Most likely there’s a big overlap with this idiots listeners. Did he still have a podcast in 2018? Because we had a historic landslide midterm victory for our side. I’m laughing my ass off at anyone who thinks this dork is going to cost the Democrats anything during the election.

by Anonymousreply 59June 16, 2020 12:18 AM

I sincerely urge Joe to not socially distance. I think he has the right attitude. So Joe if you’re reading this please do all you can not to social distance. Get into the biggest crowd you can of people who are likewise not socially distancing or wearing masks. Thank you Joe I hope you lead the way.

by Anonymousreply 60June 16, 2020 12:19 AM

He denied sandy hook and Spotify really wants to get in bed with this freak?

Was Alex Jones not available?

They are asking to be canceled and then sued to oblivion.

by Anonymousreply 61June 16, 2020 12:27 AM

R61 if he denied it he should be forced to dig up all the graves of those kids and take a good hard long look. And better yet if we ever unfortunately have another school shooting all those who have denied them in the past must go and inspect all the bodies before they are removed.

by Anonymousreply 66June 16, 2020 1:23 AM

R13 Are you sure he said that? I know that Alex Jones said it but the only time I've see Joe Rogan discussing it was when he was calling out Jones for believing Sandy Hook was a hoax. Having said that, I don't watch Joe Rogan unless he has someone interesting on so I could easily have missed him doing the same thing as Jones.

by Anonymousreply 67June 16, 2020 7:35 AM

That's frightening at R65. How many black trans can there be in the whole world let alone NYC?

by Anonymousreply 68June 16, 2020 8:17 AM

Why do you keep posting about this guy being considered an "intellectual"? No intelligent person thinks that.

by Anonymousreply 69June 16, 2020 11:33 AM

Alex Jones apparently said Joe Rogan was getting hassled by the government for reporting on Sandy Hook conspiracy theories, but Rogan said he wasn't.

Rogan had Jones on after Jones started in with the Sandy Hook theories, and said something that could maybe have sounded like he thought Jones was harassing the parents of Sandy Hook victims, but his real complaint was that Jones didn't call him first before telling people the lie that Rogan had been harassed by the government.

by Anonymousreply 73June 16, 2020 2:16 PM

God he's such a try hard. He constantly goes on and on about how masculine he is. It's embarrassing that he has fans.

by Anonymousreply 74June 16, 2020 2:21 PM

It's pretty impressive, he mostly just sits there, hanging out, asking easy, obvious questions and making surprised faces at the answers, and that's worth 100 million in today's world. And he doesn't even give up any control of the podcast, it's just a licensing deal. I don't mind Rogan, but only when he has someone way more interesting than he is on who can take the floor and hold it. Interesting times.

by Anonymousreply 75June 16, 2020 11:28 PM

Its obvious you guys want to bone him. Quit your bitchin.

by Anonymousreply 76June 16, 2020 11:59 PM

by Anonymousreply 81June 17, 2020 5:02 AM

[quote]That's frightening at [R65]. How many black trans can there be in the whole world let alone NYC?

I'm convinced the beneficent, super liberal wing of the left has adopted the whole "black trans women" almost like a fetish, or pet project. Is it the ultimate in white guilt? It really animates them, but explain to them that generally black "trans women" are killed by black men and you're gonna get a huge frownie face! The incidence of trans women being involved in sex work is noticeably higher. It is rarely mentioned how dangerous this is, instead the liberals scream that we need to decriminalize sex work! That's not a cure for violence! That's feelgoodism for whitey!

Face it, the "trans" population seems to be much higher in very homophobic communities which exist in our hugely misogynistic country, so a black trans woman- generally a femme gay male, is treated like shit for being gay, then just as bad for being a woman. Since they almost never "pass", they become easy targets for violence in their own communities. Tying the violence to the BLM movement is dumb. Cops kill black males, but black males kill black trans women. Two different syndromes. Stats are hard to find other than incarceration and sex worker percentage. The numbers don't tell the story people want to hear.

by Anonymousreply 82June 17, 2020 5:43 AM

by Anonymousreply 83June 17, 2020 5:44 AM

Does this leave anyone else with a bad taste of Spotify? Like they will do anything for a buck? Who wants to see his face every time they go to play a song?

This is pathetic of Spotify. Have they released a statement? If there are racial undertones here, how is this possible in the current environment?

by Anonymousreply 84June 17, 2020 5:53 AM

by Anonymousreply 85June 17, 2020 5:55 AM

by Anonymousreply 86June 17, 2020 6:14 PM

Regarding the Black Trans Lives Matter thing, I posted this in another thread.

[quote] A friend's facebook posts got me thinking about the "Black Trans Lives Matter" protests currently going on. This friend is a social worker and is one of the people who is spreading the info that there is a black trans murder epidemic. From what I have read, one-third of all trans people killed are sex workers. Don't sex workers typically suffer from a higher murder rate in general? And only something like 25 trans people were killed in 2019--how the hell is that an epidemic!? You know what was an epidemic? AIDS! "Black Lives Matter" includes ALL black people so it makes no sense to have protests for black trans people seperately. To me, it looks like black trans activists are piggybacking of the Black Lives Matter movement and using that to get attention. Which is ridiculous for many reasons. The majority of black people being killed by cops are NOT trans yet the black trans activists were complaining that not enough attention was being called to black trans people. This would be like gays protesting against AIDS discrimination and some gays going "you aren't being inclusive! Some of us have crabs, you need to protest that too for real solidarity!". Those gays would righfully be ridiculed. These trans activists need to stop piggybacking off of other movements and issues.

by Anonymousreply 87June 17, 2020 6:36 PM

Rogan himself isn't an alt-righter, nor is he anything approaching an intellectual...but he does have on some alt-right guests, and some intellectual guests. He also has some pretty far-left guests, and a fair amount of idiots.

He knows a good chunk of his audience is conservative, and he certainly finds ways to pander to them.

He went SO hard on Hillary Clinton during the last election cycle, calling her a compulsive liar and corrupt every chance he got...yet pretty much gave Trump a pass on all of his lies and corruption. Even now, even though he's not a Trump supporter, he tends to laugh off every outrageous thing Trump does.

He's doing the same thing now with Biden...questioning his mental state and constantly claiming he's on death's door, and treating the phony rape allegation as credible and legit, while completely ignoring Trump's very obvious mental and physical issues, and all of his rape accusations.

I'm not sure why anybody with half a brain would listen to him regarding any medical issue. He's a stand-up comedian, a world that came to a complete halt when this thing hit. He and ALL his stand-up friends clearly have a bias towards re-opening everything. It's how they make their living, and they really want to be out there performing and working on their material. So you need to take anything he says with a grain of salt. He has his very obvious biases, just like most media people do.

by Anonymousreply 88June 17, 2020 7:52 PM

R88, White bros and Douche men would be just as hateful toward Warren as they were to Hillary. They have a visceral dislike of her

by Anonymousreply 109June 20, 2020 9:11 AM

Have you heard his fans talk about him, r109? They hang on to his every word including who to support. They're piling on Biden right now because "Joe Rogan said he's already forgotten what he said two minutes ago" he can't be president. They also think Obama has to answer for #Obamagate.

by Anonymousreply 110June 20, 2020 10:11 AM

Being sane enough to not claim school shootings were hoaxes does not mean he's not doing propaganda for the alt-right. Only lunatic and unstable whine babies like Rogan's friend Alex Jones dare to say aloud insane claims like that. Rogan's schtick is to appear a moderate everyman when in fact he's clearly working for the alt-right. I wouldn't be surprised to find he's connected with Steve Bannon behind the scenes.

That's the excuse I heard all over Twitter, R109, but it doesn't fly. He is marketing himself as a curious intellectual who has "both sides" on his podcast, including intelligent experts and academics.

In truth, what he does is say "social distancing is for dorks" one week, have a medical expert on talking about masks and distancing the next, then a week later say "only pussies wear masks." His dipshit followers think that's how you "present both sides." Then they go to social media and bleat, "But he says he's not smart! But he's just a comedian! He just asks questions!"

Don't be naive. He's pushing propaganda. He wants the benefit of pushing conspiracy theories while refusing to take responsibility for it.

That's what he did with the Sandy Hook mess. He had Alex Jones on the show to talk about it, he didn't really question him or say anything about how Jones was lying, and Jones took that to mean he agreed with him. A lot of people did. That's what he wanted, to give the impression of supporting that conspiracy theory, while still being able to have plausible deniability by saying, "Hey, I never said I agreed with it."

But he never said he didn't, either. And if you have Alex Jones on your show pushing Sandy Hook conspiracy theories, and you're being asked point blank if you believe in them, you need to answer. If you don't, then we have the answer.

by Anonymousreply 112June 20, 2020 11:06 AM

He's pushing the same bullshit that Jordan Peterson and even Alex Jones are pushing: the perception that Western masculinity has been weakened, that men need to reclaim it somehow; basically the whole RedPill, MRA ideology given some polish, so that it appears more credible than some troglodyte populated subReddit. There's a lot of "self improvement" thrown into that whole spiel: physical fitness, proper diet advice, dubious supplements, etc, but a lot of that is still little more than your crudest MRA nonsense. And that tends to naturally align itself with alt-right since they identify their notion of masculinity with conservative values and the fear of how the modern Western society values, feminism, multiculturalism, among others, are undermining them.

by Anonymousreply 113June 20, 2020 11:14 AM

He's been rumored to be in the closet since forever. If true I wouldn't mind seeing a male hookup come forward even for just seeing how Rogan but most of all his alt-right fans would react.

by Anonymousreply 114June 20, 2020 12:06 PM

[quote] He is marketing himself as a curious intellectual who has "both sides" on his podcast, including intelligent experts and academics.

Thank you. This whole "both sides" BS argument is one that conservatives LOVE to use. Case-in-point: George Floyd. Fuck them.

by Anonymousreply 115June 20, 2020 4:16 PM

[quote]while still being able to have plausible deniability by saying, "Hey, I never said I agreed with it."

And now another video of him ‘not agreeing’ with something has resurfaced.

I wonder if anyone will remember his story about seeing Planet of the Apes in a black neighborhood and saying that walking into the theater was like walking into the planet of the apes.

Spotify will never get money from me anymore. I'd hate to think any of my money ends up in Rogan's pockets. It doesn't help that Spotify just signed one of the Kardashians as well.

by Anonymousreply 117June 20, 2020 9:17 PM

R116, did you see the youtube video where his fans were all butthurt and saying "you're taking what he said out of context!!!" regarding the planet of the apes comment? He's an idiot.

by Anonymousreply 118June 20, 2020 9:18 PM

What we know is that there's a huge and profitable market for hosts who cater to predominantly white, whiny guys who like to play victim by claiming others play victim.

by Anonymousreply 119June 20, 2020 9:34 PM

Wow he’s a racist too?

Big shock. That is the alt-right’s bread and butter.

by Anonymousreply 120June 20, 2020 9:48 PM

Somebody tweet BLM and all them why Spotify is comfortable with racists and sandy hook deniers?

Spotify ought to be canceled. I deleted the app and never want to be apart of any dangerous and foreign-sourced propaganda outlets.

by Anonymousreply 121June 20, 2020 9:49 PM

Rogan was responsible for propogating that Obama birther nonsense. Fuck him. Anyone who says "both sides are bad" is so Republican, it's nauseating.

by Anonymousreply 122June 20, 2020 9:50 PM

The video has been removed now but this is what he said, verbatim:

[quote]We're giggling, "oooh, we're gonna see Planet of the Apes." We walked in to planet of the apes. We walked into Africa, dude. We walked in the door, and there was no white people. There was no white people.

"Regarding the Black Trans Lives Matter thing, I posted this in another thread."

So you knew this was another thread were you could again be an idiot bigot.

I like the insinuation that black trans women don't matter because

A) According to you they're sex workers and therefore their lives and worthless and they should be hunted down and murdered and

B) Also according to you, since not enough white people are killing them, their murders aren't that important.

So in conclusion, (according to you) black trans women don't matter because they aren't as important as white murderers.

I'm guessing you're one of the big whiners on the confederate statues threads (again, statues to treasonous racists are more important than black lives).

You're also worried about every crap movie ever made that promotes racism because of the Chinese Cultural Revolution which you clearly nothing about to begin with.

by Anonymousreply 124June 20, 2020 10:07 PM

R124, you're clearly prone to histrionics.

A) My point was that one-third of them being killed because they are sex workers, not because they are trans. And when you take that into account, the numbers are much lower.

B) 25 murders in a year is not by any means an epidemic. You can attempt to spin that any way you want, but it is NOT an epidemic.

C) No, I'm happy the statues are being taken down.

D) The Black Lives Matter movement ALREADY had plenty of LGBT inclusion. It was assumed from the beginning that Black Lives Matter included all black lives. I think that's pretty clear from the name Black Lives Matter, is it not? This has been stated several times on these threads. The trans people just wanted to piggyback off of the attention from BLM, as is the usual behavior from their "activists". Soon, they will rewrite history, insisting it was black trans people who were the majority of BLM protestors.

by Anonymousreply 125June 20, 2020 10:21 PM

This guy’s a moron, catering to the surprisingly robust moron audience.

by Anonymousreply 126June 20, 2020 10:35 PM

#BLM needs to cancel Spotify

by Anonymousreply 127June 20, 2020 10:36 PM

There is no room for racists in 2020.

Has Spotify replied about the racism,

What about the Sandy Hook denial?

by Anonymousreply 128June 20, 2020 10:37 PM

[R124], you're clearly prone to histrionics.

Was it my use of bullet points that tipped you off.

Meanwhile, you also used bullet points.

BTW, how does being a sex worker "lower the numbers?" If you're a sex worker you're not really trans? You can't be both?

Do you know for a lot of trans women sex work is the only work they can get due to job discrimination in other fields?

Of course you don't.

I think you're clearly prone to ignorance. Especially since you try to convince yourself that an opposing viewpoint is "histrionic." Do you always over react when someone disagrees with you? That seems sort of borderline.

Of course, I couldn't begin to guess about your mental state given what little mental effort seems to go into your writing.

Would it be presumptuous to conclude that you posses a low intellect and are a lazy thinker?

No offense to the low intellects and lazy thinkers on this thread.

by Anonymousreply 129June 20, 2020 11:03 PM

Now people are pissed that the fat old guy he's always with forced female comedians to blow him for stage time.

by Anonymousreply 130June 20, 2020 11:04 PM

R129, this was your histrionic statement:

[quote] So in conclusion, (according to you) black trans women don't matter because they aren't as important as white murderers.

And this one:

[quote] You're also worried about every crap movie ever made that promotes racism because of the Chinese Cultural Revolution which you clearly nothing about to begin with.

You seem to be the one prone to overreacting. Please explain how 20ish people getting killed in a year is an "epidemic" and then maybe you will be taken seriously.

by Anonymousreply 131June 20, 2020 11:17 PM

[quote] This guy’s a moron, catering to the surprisingly robust moron audience.

Yes, he specifically caters to people who are looking for "freethinkers" who are "manly and cool". God help us all.

by Anonymousreply 132June 20, 2020 11:25 PM

Why is he relevant again?

by Anonymousreply 133June 21, 2020 12:43 AM

He is spreading dangerous messaging that somehow always exactly aligns with the foreign talking points and obscure platforms.

by Anonymousreply 134June 21, 2020 12:43 AM

Who owns Spotify anyway? Is this part of a larger propaganda push to radicalize the ill informed?

by Anonymousreply 135June 21, 2020 12:44 AM

R133, he recently made a $100M deal with Spotify to move his podcasts there.

by Anonymousreply 136June 21, 2020 12:53 AM

Jesus what kind of dark money is tied up in that kind of shady interest?

So do we know who owns this propaganda pipeline?

by Anonymousreply 137June 21, 2020 1:15 AM

How is Spotify getting away with pushing these toxic conspiracies to young men.

Why does he focus on women and minorities?

Are there other things to talk about besides Obama?

by Anonymousreply 138June 21, 2020 1:58 AM

This asshole claimed to have been a Bernie person, but now is supporting Trump. For someone being touted as an "intellectual", that makes no sense. The policies of Bernie and Trump couldn't be further apart.

I vote based on what the policies of a person/party, not on whether I like them or not. I'm voting for them, not looking for a life partner. And I don't consider myself "intellectual", just someone practical with common sense.

by Anonymousreply 139June 21, 2020 2:11 AM

Cancel!

by Anonymousreply 140June 21, 2020 2:13 AM

Another reason to cancel him...this just in from The Hill

[quote] Popular podcast host Joe Rogan is under fire for an old podcast clip that has surfaced in which he laughs over comments his friend made about coercing women to perform oral sex on him.

[quote] Twitter users resurfaced a clip from 2011 when Rogan hosted comedian Joey Diaz on his podcast. In the clip, Rogan laughs after Diaz boasted that he wouldn't allow women comedians onstage without performing oral sex on him. Rogan laughs and claps and appears to make no attempt to condemn Diaz's comments.

by Anonymousreply 141June 21, 2020 2:21 AM

R141, the video of that is linked at R116. He thought it was hilarious.

by Anonymousreply 142June 21, 2020 2:31 AM

R142, he's a creep. I wonder how he will spin this into a "both sides do it" argument (if that's even possible)

by Anonymousreply 143June 21, 2020 2:33 AM

Why does he always alight his talking points with the worst of the worst?

And then tried to disguise them as food for thought. M It’s so deceptive.

by Anonymousreply 144June 21, 2020 2:58 AM

The listeners most feel like complete fools for being duped so easily.

It’s a real reality check. Don’t be so gullible.

by Anonymousreply 145June 21, 2020 2:59 AM

[QUOTE] The listeners most feel like complete fools for being duped so easily.

No, if anything, they will just find a way to say "this is being taken out of context!" while they keep listening to him.

Sandy Hook was real but this podcast is fake.

Has Spotify responded?

Sickening.

[quote]This asshole claimed to have been a Bernie person, but now is supporting Trump. For someone being touted as an "intellectual", that makes no sense. The policies of Bernie and Trump couldn't be further apart.

He was doing the exact same thing as Republicans who voted for Bernie in the primaries. Sowing discord.

by Anonymousreply 150June 21, 2020 8:07 AM

[quote]So do we know who owns this propaganda pipeline?

I would love to know that myself. There were a lot of Rogan fans on Twitter yesterday spamming all threads about him with the "fact" that Rogan "can't be canceled because he has his own platform." They kept saying he doesn't really need any advertisers, either. That really got my attention -- why do they think he won't need any advertising money? Where is the money coming from?

by Anonymousreply 151June 21, 2020 10:26 AM

all those bots and fake accounts are part of the propaganda pipeline.

by Anonymousreply 152June 21, 2020 3:20 PM

Does he own Spotify?

by Anonymousreply 153June 21, 2020 3:21 PM

It seems Spotify's latest public stockholder figures are from 2018. At the time the six biggest owners were with a 25% stake the company's two Swedish founders (with stock warrants it goes up to 38%), with a 7.5% stake the Chinese Tencent, 6.9% a hedge fund Tiger Management, 5.7 % Sony and 5.4% a venture capital firm Technology Crossover Ventures.

by Anonymousreply 154June 21, 2020 3:40 PM

Interesting.

They are risking a lot to back this loser.
