I frequent a forum that has a very progressive, left-leaning user base who is very sensitive with regard to social justice issues. It's not that I always disagree with people there, although I'm a bit more conservative generally, actually I tend to agree on most issues. However, I recently noticed that their oversensitivity, black and white thinking, and moral outrage is really starting to piss me off. Whenever I'm there I now feel that I'm surrounded by the Maiden Aunts Brigade and long for the freedom, wackiness, and ruthless honesty of DL.
Usually, I keep disengaged in order not to get banned, but sometimes it's just too much for me and I have to respond. I fear that it's only a matter of time until they will ban me permanently...
Has DL ruined you as well for other forums?
