Live press conference: CANCELLED.

[quote] Today, I am canceling my in-person press conference scheduled for 5:30 pm today after learning of a possible COVID19 exposure. I still plan to provide Nevadans an update tonight via recorded video.

[quote] Late last week, I visited a work place where an employee, who was not in the building at time, has since reported testing positive for COVID19. My Office learned of the positive test result on Tuesday.

[quote] My office has taken immediate and responsible actions to limit my exposure. Canceling this press conference is out of an abundance of caution.

[quote] I am scheduled to take a COVID19 test on Wednesday and I will inform Nevadans of these results. At no point since the potential exposure have I experienced any symptoms.

Drama queen.

Steve is a solid governor.

He is the male, Gretchen Whitmer.

WHET that loudmouth Las Vegas mayor? She seems to have disappeared after her disastrous comments a few weeks ago.

If he's this paranoid about the virus, I think it's safe to assume that he's going to lock the state down for another month.

Just like California.

"I, myself, got sick and am probably going to die. But that should stop the rest of you from going to the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar's and enjoying the all-you-can-eat shrimp!"

r5, considering how linked the NV economy is to CA, not a bad idea.

Some casinos are scheduled to open June 4. Doesn't mean that they will.

Casino chains are hyping their ultra vigilant sanitation procedures including pre-packaged sandwiches at the "M Casino" instead of the very popular buffet, hand sanitizer dispensaries every few feet, large plastic cages encasing the 3 players per table game, paper bingo cards only. No discussion of when live lounge music and nightclubs will return.

Indian casinos in California have already opened, so Vegas is losing business.

A few have opened...

by Anonymousreply 11May 27, 2020 12:49 AM

Any decision yet?

R12, Gyms, tanning salons, casinos, bars may reopen but with many restrictions. and social distancing.

For example you can't shower at the gym nor use the sauna or jacuzzi. However you can use the gym bathroom. You'll also have to surreptitiously change your clothes in the bathroom as locker rooms will remain closed.

Reports of previous casino loyalty card owners with significant play being offered incredible deals to come back are common. Parking fees for locals are gone. Some casinos have eliminated resort fees too.

Pity the valet parkers who are often used to making $$$$$ and have been known to pay thousands to secure the gig. Then again valet parkers have also been known to make "other arrangements" too.
