Weird and small outdated stuff on TV and film

I'm not talking about the obvious things, like Zack Morris' giant cell phone, but strange and small things.

In the pilot episode of Six Feet Under, which aired the summer of 2001, Nate and Brenda have sex in an airport closet. Something that became much less believable a few months later.

On 30 Rock, Jenna starred in a film called The Rural Juror, which was based on a novel written by the less-successful brother of John Grisham, and directed by the less-successful Affleck brother, Casey. Now that he has a string of acclaimed performances and a Best Actor Oscar, the joke doesn't really work.

Movies as late as 1995-2000 often had characters smoking in office buildings and other enclosed public places.

It's weird because much of the clothing is similar to today; it's not like a 1940s movie where your eye accepts it and moves on.
