This isn't surprising. For instance just a few years ago we were being warned about a "loneliness epidemic" among the elderly, and people were being urged to visit them. Now, we are locking that same population away for months at a time, and told to not visit them. Of course, it is going to cause problems.

Remodel the places with visiting booths like prisons.

I would not let a parent stay in a care facility during the pandemic.

Bring them into your home until there's a vaccine or herd immunity. Rest homes are corona traps.

And yes, these places have an extremely high infection rate from visitors / others bringing it in. So what is it?

Doctors are hurting financially because of the elective lockdown. My partner was going to have his knee done in July and the doctor called and practically begged him to do it this week.

The article is a propaganda piece from The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. This is an association that no reputable physician belongs to, because it promotes quackery.
